Thank you for making this video. It was very easy to follow. I'm making a winter witches costume for my 2-year-old daughter for her Santa photos this year 🙂

Im tempted to make an Edwardian Professor McGonagall cosplay (because she’s basically an embodiment of the Edwardian witch aesthetic) and I believe a wide brimmed, black with plaid details witch hat is the perfect addition to the look (with a black ostrich feather and some black flowers for the perfect witchy hat).

Thank you! I can’t wait to make this! It would be really cool if I could make mine water proof to act as both a sunhat and a rain hat, any tips for working with waterproof materials?
@RandomTuesday3 жыл бұрын
A lot of waterproof materials can be a heavier weight, so make sure you have the right kind of needle to work with. You can also look into taping seams to make it truly waterproof!

Could you be so kind to tell me how many fabric did you use? 🥺
@RandomTuesday3 жыл бұрын
Less than a yard for each. You’ll want to make sure you have enough fabric to fit the whole circle for the brim. About 25in across.

Was your brim still pretty floppy before putting in the wire? I'm wondering if I have the wrong interfacing or if I need to trust the process.
@RandomTuesday2 жыл бұрын
Generally it will be if you use a lighter interfacing! That tends to be why I write them. You can use a thicker interfacing “craft” is often what it’s called and it’ll hold more shape before wiring if you do that. Mostly it’s personal choice. I find the thinner interfacing easier to work with.
