Problem with the acedemy is that its so fucking long. 4 hours with OOC discord call with SOPs and shit. 4-6 hours with pursuit training and traffic stops. 4-6 hours with the MDW and evidence shit. Its super daunting.

Nobody wants a cop that will abuse their power and/or be a nuisance to the department. Crims/civilians already have to send 3 days out of game to get their pilots license.
