what I love about Randy is he singlehandedly proves Jim Henson's thesis about puppets: they aren't just for kids, they're a medium, a genre. something to be used to tell a story or provide entertainment, not just to be sesame street.

I stumbled on a clip of Randy that led me to a longer clip and that led me here. And I am grateful. What a fucking amazing person, writer, performer. The hilarity of the comedy is perfectly balanced with the wisdom of the message. The interweaving of the bits that are beautifully referenced as the show goes on is lovely. Also, I got to do some puppetry once - Trekkie for a production of Avenue Q. So I appreciate how tiring that can be, and I am in awe of the arm strength that show took. And impressed with the sheer expressiveness of the movements. There is so much talent on display, and it is absolutely a delight.

That hour was one of the best acts of a comedic special that I’d ever seen to the point I was showing friends and family who also grew to love Randy and then they wanted to share with more people. I’m American and I am quite in tune with American stand up comedy and my KZbin is full of videos concerning such, YET NOT ONCE was I recommended a Randy video. I am so glad I made it here, and I’m sincerely sorry it took so long.

This means a lot that he uploaded it for free. I don't always have money to spend so this really came in clutch. Love you, Randy. Love your team too!

It's early morning. My father is asleep in the room next over. Walls are paper-thin, so everything can be heard. Such as his snoring. I am watching this wonderful show, trying to hold back laughter, where even a chuckle makes me break out sweat. And then I hear... a baby... timed perfectly in the silence of the skit... And I can't help but crack up. Now... I have to make breakfast. Happy New Year y'all.

If this is even just a fraction as good as Randy Writes a Novel it’ll still be hilarious and amazing. Can’t wait to watch and thank you Randy! Edit post-watch: that wasn’t simply as good as RWAN, that was even better! Holy shit Randy! Magnum Opus, indeed, I loved every minute of that!
