The Pro Football HOF will never be complete until Randy Gradishar is inducted. The biggest injustice in HOF.

Exactly right! I live 20 minutes from the HOF and have never been there, and never will be, until this injustice is rectified.

Along with another Buckeye, Jim Marshall. Maybe Broncos and Vikings fans can advocate for both en masse and make the squeaky wheel a lot louder.

In my opinion the greatest middle linebacker in his era, numbers speaks for themselves. 6'3 240lb not none of this 220 lb stuff. Why is the Hall of Fame doing this man so dirty...

In 1977, I was an All Conference tackle for Thornton HS. Coach asked me to speak at a Little League Awards Banquet. Randy Gradishar was the key speaker. What a nice man he was. It is one of the highlights of my life. HOF is missing a LEGEND.
@briandonelson47002 жыл бұрын
He was the greatest defensive player of that generation, the leader of the Orange Crush, and should be in the Hall of Fame. He was always in the right place at the right time.

In 1974 I started my sophomore year at William Mitchell HS in Colorado Springs. I have not lived in Colorado since 1976 but by that time Gradishar had made me a lifelong fan of American football at all levels, the Denver Broncos, and Randy Gradishar himself.

Randy is my brother-in-law's brother. We all grew up together! Randy's abilities are such that he undoubtedly should be in the NFL hall of fame! I don't understand who is making the decisions on who should be in and who shouldn't, but they ought to get a new informed guy! Randy to the hall of fame!

I just watched his speech at the HOF today. Great man, great speech. He should have been inducted 35 years ago. He was the best MLB in the NFL in that era. I’m glad he made it. I’m sorry my brother Kent wasn’t here to see it. He was number 53 in honor of Randy Gradishar.

Relocating to Denver in 82' from NYC and a Giants fan, seeing my first Broncos game was a disappointment but this linebacker Gradishar and Jackson then Mecklenburg the next year just as Elway learned the game, was really good football- all HOF guys. Watching this documentary brought back vivid memories of some of the best defensive football in history. Thanks for sharing.

If I had to teach someone how to play ILB, and I could only choose one player to model, I'd put on a video of Randy Gradishar. He was always in the right place, he never missed a tackle, and when a great defense needed a leader, he became that leader.

Excellent one 👍 thanks for sharing it. Gradishar, Rulon Jones. Are just a few of our players who should be in the hall of fame. I cannot respect the hall, son long as they ignore the great Broncos of the past.
@charlesm99292 жыл бұрын
I understand your sentiments, but while I agree wholeheartedly with your assessment about Gradishar, it's very difficult to objectively make a case for Rulon Jones. Karl Mecklenburg however is yet another egregious omission from the HOF IMO.
@michaelsack998110 ай бұрын
Finally Randy has made it. And once inducted in August, the NFL HOF will finally be a legitimate hall of fame. There are others deserving, still to get in. But no omission has ever been as egregious as Randy who should have been a first round inductee.

A great effort and my thanks to all involved for putting this together. It does, however, make me wonder... After promoting/advocating for my friend Randy's HOF induction for 20+ years now, where was this effort in 2003... or 2008... or 2020?

If you had to teach a class on how to play inside linebacker, you could just put on a film of Randy Gradishar. I've heard a lot of reasons why he's not in the HOF, the mountain time zone, east coast bias, Dr. Z thought his tackle statistics were inflated, we played a 3-4 instead of a 4-3. That's all bogus. He should be in. I'm disappointed that Jack Lambert hasn't lobbied harder for Randy. Maybe he's jealous because Randy went to Ohio State and Lambert had to go to Kent State. Randy was a first round pick and Lambert wasn't. Out of respect for the game, Lambert should help him get in.
