I played for a while with Randy in 86. He was able to channel Hendrix, Jimi was powerful and his energy did not leave the planet when he crossed over, Randy was able to gather it together and present it to the rest of us in corporeal form that transcended the grave. He channeled all of Hendrix, and like Jimi, he was complex, conflicted and self-destructive. Beautiful man, beautiful video, thank you.

I was mindlessly surfing around on KZbin and came across this cat. He's REALLY good!! And what a great ides to blend these two songs, both of which are legendary classics in my mind. I hope dude is still around and still channelling for those of us who didn't get a chance to 'experience' (pardon the pun) Electric Church Music for ourselves. THANKS FOR THE VID!!

Really man,just enjoy a guy doing a nice tribute to his and countles other guitar players hero.He's got the tone,the look,and he does kinda sound like Jimi.Just enjoy it for what it is.Of course there will never be another Hendrix but it's nice to close your eyes and imagine he's still around.Rock on Randy!!

SO - I agree with the guys who talk about Randy's music as a tribute, Randy is up-front about that, but I don't view seeing Randy as a reproduction of or substitute for seeing Jimi. It is seeing Randy Hansen play good music VERY well. It is Randy's own artistic production in the hear and now.
