I noticed Kasey was actually very decisive and could quickly make decisions when she did NOT like something. It seemed like committing or saying yes to things was more difficult. Obviously this is just a very small, edited snippet, but I wonder if she would gain confidence in rejecting the identity that she’s not good at making decisions. She actually demonstrated good skill and assertion when it came to declining dresses she knew she didn’t like.

@naturefleur2062 Жыл бұрын
Those are good points.
@kray3883 Жыл бұрын
@@chrislent6142That's some toxic positivity. To me she seems just very perfectionist, to the point where she's afraid of making a choice and then finding out that it wasn't the best possible choice after she's stuck with it. That's why she has no problem saying no to dresses, because you can automatically say no to any dress that's worse than at least one other dress, and realistically if you change your mind no one is going to say you can't have it because you said no once. But feeling confident that you won't find a better dress, not even in another store or online, when you can't afford to buy a second one after you buy the first one...impossible. And the culture that it seems like she comes from probably doesn't help, when having a perfect dress is considered to be a reflection of your inner purity and being a good person, and not having a "perfect dress moment" is some kind of judgement on your relationship with your significant other... I wouldn't want to make decisions, either.

Yes, it’s way past time that people stop using the name Karen in such a negative, mean spirited way. People should pause for a moment and think how they’d like it if their name has almost become a swear word in today’s society. It’s immature and hateful, and equates the user as exactly that, picking on thousands and thousands of really nice women who have the name.

@jessicaellina3878 yeah, unfortunately the name Karen has come to mean an entitled pushy woman who thinks that all she has to do it complain to management to get what she wants. A Karen also has no qualms in approaching someone who they think is doing something wrong and tries to push her views on someone else. I just wish we could have a different word for it, not an actual name.

I have ptsd, (and adhd). Regardless of my issues, I still need and want to live. I want the experiences other people have without someone thinking ‘yikes’. My husband helps me with my issues because he loves me. And it will be the same for this lovely lady in the video. And as another comment said, 10 years later she’s still married and has 2 children. Further proving she made the right choice for herself. It all worked out just like it does for everybody else. She just had to work harder for it. Her ocd will always be there but her life doesn’t have to suffer and stay stagnant because of it.

My mother was being physically abused and I had so much guilt that I, as a child, would not get up in the night and try to help my mom. I wouldn't touch other children because I was afraid they would die if I touched them. The thoughts that would threaten me if I didn't do the obsessions and compulsions it asked me to do. Finally 100 mg. Of Prozac a day helped me soooo much for years until I had gastric bypass and then all my meds quit working. They never told me that they take out about 8 feet of your intestines when they do gastric bypass weight loss surgery and in those 8 feet of intestines is where most of our medications break down and blend into your body so hardly any meds work for me now. Casey and her mom have the most stunning green eyes! Such lovely women! I have OCD, but mine doesn't manifest in inability to make decisions. That must be hell. With me, I check and recheck and recheck things. Bless this young woman!💙

Me too. Checking and rechecking is so exhausting. It was also exhausting trying to keep it a secret as a child.I really wish I had a home life where I felt safe telling someone.

@@saraphillips1038 Yes, sometimes I would have to go outside in the middle of the night and walk around the house. And I was afraid of the dark, so it was extra stressful. My mom wasn't unhelpful, but she wasn't real helpful either, and my dad lived elsewhere, so he didn't know. I didn't get real help for it until I graduated from High School.

I hope she was able to settle on a dress and new tools to help her deal with OCD.

Stunning ! I personally have OCD but it’s been helping with my life and I’m way too good with decision making. I only hesitate if I’m not convinced 😅

Wow, what an amazing family who clearly has Endless patience. I can see how hard it is for Kasey to say Yes but she was stunning and how well did the staff do. So happy for Kasey and the staff

I’m so very glad she went with that dress!! I’m not THE biggest fan of ballgowns but I love THAT ballgown! It’s I think the prettiest and classiest ones I have ever seen no matter the color! It is always so breathtaking to see it on a person! 💙💙
