I heard this on the radio today and it was definitely catchy but... nobody in the history of ever has been "canceled" for *checks lyrics* eating breakfast with their family... people get "canceled" for things like doing a literal hate crime, and calling people slurs. I'm trying to think of other reasons, but I'm really struggling lol. Calling people who are against things like literal hate crimes and calling people slurs the LITERAL devil is uh... pretty telling of your worldview. Nobody (outside of maybe a few very angry people on the internet, definitely not enough to make this shit your *entire personality* over) are trying to "rid the world of god-fearing men." Genuinely, nobody gives a shit about that. Believe in whatever religion you want, and teach your kids all about God, nobody is trying to stop you. What people DO care about is when *some* people use God as an excuse to treat other people as "lesser" or "abominations." That shit's not cool, and is absolutely not in line with God's message. Nobody is out to get you. You don't need to turn yourself into a victim by acting like the world is trying to destroy your oh-so-sacred way of life. Calling anyone who doesn't share your exact views the literal devil comes across as so whiny and weird. Genuinely, get over yourself. there is a HUGE difference between "God is good" and "If you don't believe exactly what I believe, you are the literal devil and you are out to get me," yaknow? Maybe I'm misunderstanding what the message is, but it seems pretty clearly one of those two.
