I asked my 98 year old italian grandmother who is nablidan (naples in case you forgot) about the birthday cake saving. She nearly got up from her bed and wanted to hit me with the wooden spoon. The wedding cake gets saved on the freezer until your 1 year anniversary. But hey what do i know. Im juat glad your italian like us paisano.

Happy Birthday, Randy! I'm an Oct. birthday too. :) I'm not Italian, but we saved a piece of wedding cake in our freezer for a year and then we were afraid it eat it so we threw it out. haha Never thought to save birthday cakes because they are always eaten within a couple days. I hope you are enjoying your special day!

Happy Birthday Randy. We never had leftover cake. I'm from PA Dutch country, we scarf everything in sight. Our mothers slways made more of each meal or dessert. We ate plenty. The cake was attacked like a bunch of vulgers. Save what makes you happy. For you it's everything. My friend is like you. She's so out of control thst she won't let anyone in her house. Her rooms are filled with stuff that she can't remember what she has. Her home hasn't been cleaned for 47 years. It's terrible. She is enbarressed and yet the task to clean or organize are too overwhelming to begin. She needs some sort of therapy. She buys and buys and collects and collects and doesn't take care of any of it.

But your friend is happy doing what she does, and there is nothing wrong with that at all. Nothing is perfect, and she doesn't need therapy anymore than anyone else in this world. It can be said that those who throw things away or clean all the time need therapy too... To each their own

Serious answer: I am not married, and i have no children... If I did have a wife and children, they would know everything I do is absolute GENIUS, and they would support whatever I did not only because they knew I was a Genius, but also because they loved me, and that alone would be enough. My parents always supported my efforts for the same reason specified.
