It was pretty crazy right from the opening, but holy hell, nothing could possibly prepare me for how epic the final round was - nevermind the fact that it got to ROUND NINE IN THE FINALS. Holy hell. Absolutely insane performance from both players.

Imo if there’s a disconnect, the other player should be allowed to choose between finishing their run or immediately pausing so they can reset. The actual scoring isn’t dependent on them doing it at the same time, so while yeah it sucks, it’s not really fair if you’re a decent amount into the song doing really well and have to restart because of technical problems when it’s still possible and completely valid from a scoring perspective to compare their scores as they performed separately and see who won. Yeah it’s different and maybe a bit less enjoyable to watch, but competitively speaking it seems like a much more fair option. It also gets rid of the problem on the other end of the disconnect of morons trying to say it was a faked ragequit so they could get a redo even though it’s obviously not, personally if I saw people saying that it’d definitely tilt me and throw me off my game.

fun fact, Randy's deficit on acid rain was 12.8k [354.141 to 367.006 after that long section which is 14.8k points drop after 2k ahead than darkly] when he missed the combo and also the star power section 57:32 after that on first solo he recompensate it to 3k deficit [922.174 to 925.174] 1:00:53 after the next SP set its up to 8.8k because randy missed a star power and darkly FC'd the song [965.750 to 974.550] so Randy still shaved 4k points 1:01:15 then mid 2nd solo (1st was the longest solo one) when their SP bar is tied, randy shaved another 4k and only 4k Deficit left [1.107M to 1.111M of Darkly] 1:02:08 the best moment is when darkly initiated star power (1:02:21) too early and at one point bring the deficit to 17k ahead for him but the pathing randy did kicks back the lead from down 4k to up 6.8k [1.198.106 to 1.191.322] 1:02:34 and afterwards randy never look back and kept the lead. good shit randy deservedly a winner

That was absolutely INSANE! Nerves of steel to come back in that final track, and genius strategy. Massive congrats! Shame this won't get the millions of views it deserves because there won't be a greater e-sports moment all year. One of the greatest comebacks I've ever seen! Know it was a complete first so obviously there's gonna be issues with production, was overall fine but a few things I'd say: - Commentators should practice to stop talking over one another, particularly JRABES, who also needs to work on his commentary skill a bit more so he doesn't lose his train of thought and just stop mid sentence so much. Also if he'd stop reading out donations mid song, they should be quickly done after. Some great hype from both of them though. - A constant match score next to the competitor names, rather than just on the scrolling ticker banner. - Possibly some sort of song timer, so we know how long is left, but I imagine that'd be hardest as that would probably have to be in the game itself. - As they mentioned, stop solo bonuses. Makes for a closer, more exciting game, but I heard you guys already are going to do that so that's cool. Awesome tournament though, was so cool to see the very best players finally go at it.
