Thanks for the interesting comparison. The Rane sound has a bit more body. But the difference is not that big. I have been using the DDJ SRT for years. A great, reliable and beautiful device. Greetings

I also had the SRT for years. Never any issues. I agree with the sound difference.

Just a regular guy who loves listening to good music, both with my Sennheiser headphones and without and then with my audio system in almost full blast, both are awesome sounding, crisp and clean, boils down to preference I think and loyalty to either brand, imo.

Rane has a limiter system that will not clip sound when it hits the red light. Pioneer's limiter will distort sound very bad when in the red. I recommend doing this sound comparison with eq's and mixing. It will determine which controller is better for actual in-the-field real world dj use. Thanks for the video!
@MasterDJRenn5 ай бұрын
@@djsupafly1 I’ll make one to see at what point they distort, the Rane may not distort due to the limiter (something I didn’t know about the Rane). But I’ll put it to the test before someone buys the Pioneer😁
@djsupafly15 ай бұрын
@@MasterDJRenn the sound cards are also different. Rane performer has a 48kHz convertor compared to the DDJ1000 that only has 44.1kHz. It might not seem like a big difference but when the EQ's and volume gains are used, the difference on a high quality sound system will show the true comparison.

The pioneer has a smoother sound for some reason. I would prefer the pioneer over the Rane even though the Rane has the spinning platters. The pioneer has a better highs and bass but the Rane has that ugly sounding midrange

@MasterDJRenn3 ай бұрын
@@markmcfadden6073 You think so? I think the pioneer sounds thin, Rane has more life to it. I’ve had pioneer for decades along with many Rane stuff even the Rane rotary that looks like the Urei mixer and “to me” the Rane always sounded a lil smother. I think it’s more subjective because on an audio analyzer they are about the same, not exact but very close. It also depends a great deal on the files and the actual sound system being used.
