A recent problem with my Rane Twelve / 72 gear keeping sync.

Hello friends, I had the same problem ☹️, I called Rane DJ support and they gave me the correct option to fix this problem... I fixed the problem in Serato DJ, and it was as follows: go to the configuration option, select the CD/Vinyl tab and activate the Anti-Drift option and that's it... Fixed this problem... Now I can put the same song on both decks and no matter how long they last I already have this problem... I hope this solution works for you... Greetings 😊

Thanks im running the new version of Serato, and once i did what you told me, my problem went away. I have been dealing with it for 3 years. Thanks for the help.

Problem solved !!! Thanks for your video. I also had that problem, which left me quite desperate. I switched to "Virtual DJ" software. My Rane Twelve and Seventytwo run completely stable there. The program cost 299 €. But it's much more extensive. For example, songs can be edited in their browser as Tag3 IDs, and new songs can be better integrated without running the risk of having to scan the entire library. You don't need to separate hardware from software beforehand. If someone disturbs the look, additional skins can be downloaded. Problem gelöst !!! Danke für dein Video. Hatte auch dass Problem, was mich ziemlich verzweifeln lies. Ich habe zu "Virtual DJ" Software gewechselt. Dort läuft mein Rane Twelve und Seventytwo völlig stabil. Das Programm hat zwar 299€ gekostet. Aber es ist viel umfangreicher. Zum Beispiel kann man Songs in dessen Browser gleich als Tag3 ID bearbeiten, und auch lassen sich neue Songs besser integrieren, ohne gleich Gefahr zu laufen die ganze Library scannen zu müssen. Man braucht auch vorher nicht Hardware von Software zu trennen. Sollte jemand das Aussehen stören, lassen sich weitere Skins downloaden.

So I did the recent update and although it is certainly better... the drift still occurs. You really notice it after 32 beats and onward. I own CDJ 3000s also and I’m using them most of the time at this point for any serious mixes. If you are holding the mix for an extended amount of time then it needs to be perfect. I’ll keep the Rane setup also as it is still usable for most events, but for extended blending of EDM music... other options are simply much better.

Anti drift in sersto settings needs to be enabled but if ur a scratch dj it’s best to disable that and the pitch n time lock in order to sound as close to a 1200 as possible.

Had this issue a while. I noticed that the pitch calibration trick only worked a few times and doesn't always work. You know it's worked when you get static dots on the platter but it only works sometimes. When the calibration trick worked with static dots the pitch drift issue had also gone. Decks definitely running out of sync after each use. Find myself resetting before each use and it doesn't always work. Very annoying. Never had a technic run out.

@@djjaydough for me its nothing to do with hardware. Update to serato 2.5.5 or higher and its solved for many of us. Read all the comments and replies.

just got them with pioneer djm-s11, and noticed this behavior, i flipped and also changed deck selection on each and changed usb port plug in, hoping it was a bad unit, and i want to say hopefully it is software related, i thought i had one bad unit but when i flipped em, same problem kept happening, hopefully it does get fixed

Seems the new serato dj pro update has cured it. In the read me notes it says something about rane twelve drift fix. It's working for me and is so much better to mix with.

Ok well I don't know how to help. I updated serato and calibrated and it's all working fine now. Have static dots on the plater at zero pitch. Seems fine.

Just followed the advice of fellow KZbinrs…. There are a few videos on-line of how to do it. Some are not in English, however they are easy enough to follow. It helped with the grinding noise, but did not fix the sync problem.

i have the 72 mk2 mixer, hate it. try taking off the serato effects so un click the orange lights. when i click mine the song on that channel instantly jumps back - please try it i cant get help from rane.thanks

It appears not and mine came this way. RANE is supposed to be the embodiment of the toughest. I am afraid to even exchange it. Dang it man. I think this is just going to be a problem with this table unless they secretly changed the motors but I have a friend with the MK2.

I havent had this issue for about a year. My decks works perfect. I dont understand anyone having this issue still unless they are running old serato software. I update mine to the new update at all cost and it works perfect now.

I know it’s frustrating…. Especially because in theory it would be a great way to mix. Motorized platters in my opinion are are not quite there yet. I’m sure down the road these type of issues will get fixed. I use CDJs these days, and even those have quirks that can be improved upon. I have every type of gear so I try to share as much as I can about potential issues that may occur.

I have the same issue with this, I had it since day one I thought it was software issues i have the MK 2 and a rane 70 mixer my issue is this My right deck starts to drift and goes slower than my left, it drifts til it’s about half a beat out then corrects and plays at the same speed, and then if you press sync or manually correct the platter leave it it drifts again, which is a royal pain and I know it’s something strange that’s causing it has a have fix that puts it right until I load the next track My fix is this, in virtual dj I have mapped my mixer so that the parameter up and down are my pitch up and down as sometimes manually adjusting the platter is a bit awkward so I preferred it on the buttons, if I press the up and down button together it stops at perfect pitch doesn’t drift but then comes back when I load the next track

The problem is not serato cause the turntable does it even when not connected to serato it’s the motor

SO... Here the Best Solution I found... ANTI-DRIFT, Seems to be a Patch (Band-Aid) So I have the latest version of Serato (3.1.1) and my Right deck was drifting slower than the left. I tried everything including calibration. Yet I can look at the pace lights (whatever you call them) and see the right deck, still keeping a slow pace, with the pitch control set to center. I Downloaded Serato version 3.0.5. cause it has the "Anti-drift" option (3.1.1 dose not) Once I activated anti-drift.... the 2 tracks, instant doubles where COMPLETLY LOCKED, for the duration of the song. The Right deck, Still drifts slower than it should... but its so minute, that If I didn't look to see it was drifting away... I would not know it. I'm not sure How to make an adjustment to the motor speed of the decks... and seeing as I'm Right handed, I've put more demand on that deck, than the other.... So in my case, Serato DJ Pro 3.0.5 was a solution. Stems, and all other features also working fine. I'm not sure, where the decks receive they're timing info from... If its internal, or from the software. But this upgrade (Or Downgrade ) worked for me. Good Luck All!!!

@@chacrakhan I'm STILL Looking to see what it takes for that deck to spin true, 33.3RPM and those tracking lights to stand still... But it gonna mean, sending it back to Rane.... OR, Grabbing a Screw Driver, and looking for a Physical adjustment, inside, Myself... Stay Tuned....

I tried that... Appreciate the suggestion. Same issue with the motor itself. Spoke with Rane for about 20 min today.... no solution. I either get a new motor or buy a new unit. Not what I was hoping for.

@@chacrakhan Good luck, Weird, Mine has had no significant moment or usage at all. I prefer to mix myself but if I want to use a drum machine or something, sometimes HID mixing is nice to have as an option and no reason I shouldn't be able to. It's a chincy thing to have happen to a Race turntable. InMusic need to remember that when people buy Rane products, they think 'solid'.

They are no pro grande. Rane is nottorious of using us a guiny pigs. Most companies do that but Rane Pioneer Denon Are know for this.
