Range Rover Evoque Left side Actuator Lock and Handle Keyless - Fix! Watch-out for this Fault !

Hello 👋, I have the same problem, if I understood correctly, just replace the part and that's it, no coding or similar is required, and this with the lock was all because of the battery?

@@GrooveOn I replaced the part, the problem is why I'm less serious, thanks for your help, but now I can't open the door from the outside, not at all, only from the inside, as if the yellow cable fell out on the handle, there's no resistance, I'll open it again to look, the only thing that bothers me is that I have only one yellow for the outside and you have two? For me, the steering wheel is on the left side of the Evoque 2016, so maybe you didn't make any changes there?

Is the process the same for the rear doors? both my rear doors are having the same issue.

When you tried to use the emergency key was it turning at all? I replaced my left side actuator and afterwards i noticed the emergency key just wouldn't turn. I assume it was more that the barrel had seized due to it being 12 years old. But could it be the same thing you had where it came off inside the lock?

My doors are locking and unlocking fine using the remote

I need to do the driver's side now too so will give it a look.🙈 I was just wondering if that cable that became detached (where you had to drill out the rivets), would that only affect the emergency key? Or would it affect the remote locks too? (I was unsure what it actually does). Cheers

@stevewardcomedy that cable was for the emergency key yes, however my lock still turned easily ,

@@GrooveOn cheers mate. Foolishly I didn't check the emergency key was working before starting the job and have only had the car 6 months so don't know if it has been like that for a while. I didn't think that cable would stop the barrel actually turning, but I wasn't 100% sure. In your video when you go to try the emergency key it looks like it wouldn't turn so I started wondering if it was that.
