Yeah no problem. For the cost it was a great kit especially compared to the dji (I believe that the name) kit. But yeah the shocks were just too soft but I had stock sized tires too so I had rub issues and with the drop shackles I'd hit frame with axel all the time bc soft shocks. I had to cut bump stops out also. Thanks for watching btw.

What does oversized-factory-style-sized tires mean?
@GlassWerx Жыл бұрын
Means I was still running factory spec tire size. Usually whenever u lower your ride you go with a lower profile tire.

Did you cut any off the front coils? Looks a good bit lower than 3 inches. I had the DJM 4/5 kit on order but cancelled because of the wait. But I’m looking for a different route

Nope just threw in the drop springs it came with. If u get this kit I'd suggest getting camber bolts and better shocks. U can get the kit cheaper without shocks and just get the ones u like better. I'm going to be ordering some nitro drop shocks soon as I can. I'm also on stock tire size too. I need get lower profile tires.

@@GlassWerx I really appreciate your reply. I have camber bolts already, just ordered my flip kit and 3” front coils.

@@timhulsey5347 it's not a problem @ all. After you put some drive time on that flip kit go back n retighten your u bolts just to be safe. Some times they will settle and get a little lose. Iv got to retighten mine as well. I had to take my 2in drop shackles off the back bc my shocks that came with the kit were way to soft. Once I get new shocks I gonna drop it back down more in the rear. Also subbed to ya as well. I like those models ya build. I used to build them as a kid but nothing like the ones u got

@@GlassWerx thanks! I have lots of stuff that I can be making videos of, I just don’t grab the camera or phone while I’m in the moment.

I understand that completely. Been there before. Gonna send your channel to one of my sons he's into different stuff like that as well. As far as the drop kit goes the djm kit was just way over priced for me just to get the same stuff off ebay. I'm actually working on a fee ideas to make drop down lower control arms that way don't gotta buy thru djm @ their prices. A quick way to get some drop is just cut a coil out or coil and a half out and then u can take the shackle hangers off and put the driver side bracket on pass side upside down n vise versa and get couple inches drop n rear that way. Just gotta have grinder to cut the metal rivets out and some good grade 8 or better bolts lock washers and lock nuts.

do you think it will look good on a s10 a 3/6 drop?
@GlassWerx2 жыл бұрын
3/6 looks good on s10. S10 has alot available for it as well. I think there's even a 5/7 drop for it. But going that low would require a notch kit. The 3/6 I did on here would been better with a notch as well.

Did you have to notch the frame for the 6" rear??
@GlassWerx Жыл бұрын
Not with this setup anything more then 6" I would have. Just get some bump stops made for lowered trucks or don't run any at all. And if gettn this kit don't waste the $ on the kit with shocks the shocks are too soft and it'll hit frame a lot due to the bounce. And for the 3" drop n the front take bump stops out and again use better shocks then what came in this kit and also don't forget to get camber adjustment bolts or the tires will camber in and wear unevenly

It keeps unsubscribing me from your channel but you are definitely right about all this! I had to go and re tighten my u bolts
