June 2017~ And she's back with all 3 cubs! When I read that update, I cried. What an amazing Mother she is. The only thing I had a hard time with last summer was when she went into Otis' office attacking him and removed him from his favorite spot. Poor guy didn't go back for while. She had all the big boys watching her fearfully. Good to meet you Ranger Kristen!

I totally agree with you Ranger Kristen. Grazer is an amazing mother, but also a great fisher at the lip and not afraid to confront males. She is my female hero in the bear world. Can't wait to see her this year. Hopefully all the family makes it through the winter and returns to Katmai safe and sound. Can't wait to see Peanut especially. Grazer and cubs are my screen saver at home and at work. Love Otis too. Can't wait for the season to begin. Thanks for the great video :)

Thank you for this! Grazer is one of my favorites--I love her fierceness! She certainly takes motherhood seriously. I am so looking forward to seeing her and all three cubs (I hope!) soon.

Grazer is an outstanding Mom, has no fear when it comes to protecting her Cubs. Love watching her beat up the males.

Last night Grazer and the cubs were in the jacuzzi fishing. She was up top of the falls and the cubs were by themselves in the jacuzzi. None of the males even thought about moving her out. She is my favorite too!

It will be interesting to see if Grazer comes back to the Falls with another set of cubs in the Spring, I can just hear the collective groan from the big boars - 'Oh no, here we go again' - they will just have to remember to obey the 50 yard rule when it comes to Grazer. :)

Kristen , I hope your safe and well , I didn't have wifi or any gadgets back then , but 3and a half years ago after the loss of our dog Jacob My darling wife Lisa brought me this IPad it's apparently needs replacing as it won't update lol anymore but KZbin recommended this and I'm so great full and extra knowledge of the bears past and present is always welcome. I found this a year late, but it was such a treat to hear some of Grazer's highlights from 2016. 128 is definitely my favorite bear. (Well... Grazer AND her little one. So much like her mom!) I loved watching them that year. Though I miss their unique family dynamics, it's nice to see them all at the Falls again. I hope the little subadults have a successful first year of independence.

i remember Grazer going after 503 when she had cubs all around. Seemed like 503 was just tryin to play w her cubs but she let him have it. Would have been cool to see him interact w the younger ones...but she couldnt chance it.

King Salmon Alaska. I did a year's tour with the Air Force out there in the mid-80's. About an hour's ride (road + boat) to Brooks Camp.

No they don't kill cubs for food at the falls.They have plenty of salmon that's why they all go back year and year. 747 shows dominance but out of most males I've never seen him actual touch a coy or yearling. Unlike This year and 32 Chunk trying to overtake him. He's gone after multiple yearlings now

??? did something happen to her? She's a tough little girl. It was hilarious last week when she charged 503 for her brother. She is going to be just like her Mom. All three of them are catching their own fish already. Mother of the Year! Grazer 2017

Very attractive appealing ranger, BUT-- still too much of her esp in CU time on camera. Seems strange in "wild" to have so much on-cam face time. Need to use this same audio edited with more video footage.
