my buddy just bought one of these. is the clarifier unlocked? his is off freq and the power cord is funky if you jiggle it the power fluctuates . its got 4 tiny black wires going into the molex. I feel he got ripped off. he paid alot of money for a galaxy radio pretty much.

It does require a mod, and the 955 is the best, it has a cleaner more stable output with better modulation in all modes.

Hey man, I bought one of these from a truckstop in Grand Island, NE. There is a CB shop in the same building and I had this shop peak and tune the radio and I can tell you that I have heard ONE person on it in two months time! I think the dude screwed it up. What would you charge to fix it up for me if I shipped it over?

It must be nice to buy an expensive radio and it comes with a good noise canceling Mic.Not like Stryker! My $400 955hp comes with a cheap mic and I has to spend the extra money to get me one of those Ranger SRA198.
