Ranger Veteran is now the S tier class of Bardin thanks to the masterwork pistol. He can melt bosses with it and kill specials and elites endlessly if he brings the extra ammo talent.

You only need an armor piercing weapon for the Chaos Warriors and Bannergors. Or if you find out disengage makes all ranged attacks armor piercing you can kill 1 Chaos Warrior with one magazine.

I prefer the rifle for the insane one shot distance on the body. I call it my go away stick. Although fanning the hammer on plague monks would be nice.

I don't understand how people can hate on Ranger Veteran. It's career ability is literally one of the game's best clutch abilities, similar to shade's. It's basically a shade that trades single target damage for a bit of utility, which is sort of fixed by the cog hammer now (great against hordes AND elites).

Well his ranged weapons still offer superior special killing than the crank gun. The masterwork pistol is a bit strong though, it's essentially a superior handgun

@@wizardswine You can't aim long range like crossbow/riffle, imo i'ts in betwen shotgun and riffle.

@@Akuretarie There's been the odd time I've missed or not one hit but it's fair accurate. However super long range those weapons do have an advantage. And I think the crossbow is still great it's probably my favourite ranged choice.

You are absolutely right. And this is a big problem, in general, of the game; both for firearms (crossbow is less strong than shotgun) than for fight weapons (long weapon is less strong than weapon with shield). My opinion, of course.

Understand, that this is verminTIDE. Two stormvermin Don't die easily with his current melee loadout, as well, the other two ranged weapons that can kill stormvermin easily too slowly and he would be killed.
