Rangers did not make this info public guys. A disgruntled player and his agent made this all public.

If they can’t trade or cut Trouba then they should honestly designate him to Hartford for the season
@orlfane16224 ай бұрын
They've done it before.

Great commentary, guys! Trouba's situation is a lesson in contract law. Let's assume that he stays on the team and let's move on.

Bring in Conner mackey, and send trouba down to Hartford
@TRONMAGNUM20994 ай бұрын
If Trouba stays, it won't be good. He is going to be disgruntled and that can spread like a cancer to the whole locker room. If they have to eat most of his salary with him in Hartford, that may be the best thing. Better to have a guy with a positive attitude like Harpur playing than a guy with a bad attitude.

As much as I would LOVE to see that happen, I can't imagine we'd send our captain down to the AHL. I like the way you think though

Drury did not leak the story not his fault that a news reporter ran with the story. And Truba could be a professional and accept the trade they should sue for breach of contract

Idgaf about his wife’s job. HE NEEDS TO GO. End of story.

Sucks none of my favorite podcasts are willing to discuss the elephant in the room that it shouldn’t matter at all that he’s married, has kids, is the president of the United States. It doesn’t matter. It’s a business and a contract. None of this nonsense matters, if any of this is true that he’s Blocking trades and playing games to hold the rangers hostage is bs. We already have to pay more and offer NMC to get guys to nyc because of the taxes and now we are becoming James Harden and the NBA diva? Dude no way and good luck this sets a whole new precedent if they let Trouba get away with this. Btw guys look Trouba up he did this in Winnipeg and also his camp leaked all these stories to humiliate the team and also scare other teams away without having to admit he won’t report really for a trade. It’s obvious they leaked this, the rangers leaking this has no point you guys need to clarify that his camp leaked this and not blame the rangers for over sharing. What happen with Georgiev? What happen with Messier? Gretzky? We don’t know any details with any of our guys over the years and now we are a Sivv??! Come on guys stop being PC!

Why not wave him or play him in Hartford

I respect his situation but the team has to do what’s best for the team!

Trade him to the devils, islanders or flyers.. if not he stays.. that’s it

Guys, Trouba’s wife is a doctor…..this was a planned pregnancy and it wasn’t a coincidence that the delay of her residency coincided with his modified nmc kicking in. They knew Drury was most likely going to try to move him this offseason. I’ve never seen a player decline so much at age 30 without a major injury. If the bean sized bone chip was so bad then he shouldn’t have played. He made Laviollette and Drury look like idiots for playing him after he disclosed the injury after they were eliminated.

Goodrow had a baby in the fall and moved his family to the west coast because sports are a business. Have no ill will towards the Trouba family, but that part of the argument has no merit when looking at pro athletes.

You nailed it. Send him to Hartford, and if he fails to report, he should be in breach of contract.
@orlfane16224 ай бұрын
@@michaelhache5648 I bet he would report just like Wade Redden did. Nobody leaves that kind of money on the table.

Hi Eric! Hi Anthony! Thanks for those final words on Trouba's cause and especially for your passionate plea, Anthony, to calm down a bit and give him a fair chance to prove us wrong. Sure, he was bad during the playoffs and all of us would have loved to see him been traded to the Red Wings, but hey...it's over, he's gonna be on the roster for the upcoming season and who knows? With a bit of luck we might be happy in the future that he stayed, hopefully. I'm not that pessimistic, the Rangers still have the opportunity to win the cup. LGR!!! And congrats for gaining 2K followers! ;)

The NHL is a business and as much as I like seeing teams and players develop honest, loyal and sincere players are commonities. Chris Drury has a job to do and he's doing it. I personally have no ill feelings toward Jacob Trouba and his family, but he had a sub par season and his contract is too much for his performance. If the Rangers knew about his injuries they should have taken him off the ice until he was healthy. Maybe the Rangers can put him on IR would give us some cap space. Free agency isn't the answer, a system for player development is the key and should be a #1 priority.

Like Strome. And even a bit like Kane. The Rangers haven't had good leadership in upper management in a long time. The team never cuts its losses, afraid it will show they missed the mark on initial move. Is Neil Smith still around? He may have missed the mark at end of his tenure but he made some great moves at the beginning. Wikipedia says James Dolan, Charles' son, "In 1999, Dolan was given an increased role in managing Cablevision's sports properties ...."
@Mike-mx1bw4 ай бұрын
At a minimum he needs the C torn off his sweater. You can't be the captain of a team and actively work to make the team worse by undermining management. F Trouba. I hope he gets sent to Hartford. I think you're crazy to think our window doesn't slam shut after this year. Once we pay Igor, Laf, and Miller, it is over
