The song is simply called "Rangers goal song" but is also known as "Slapshot." It was written by Ray Castoldi, who is the current Rangers organist. He is notoriously protective of the song, which is why (unless you have a recording of the game), you'll never hear the song without "Let's go Rangers" in between the whoa chants.

Wow. For an Islander fan, you seem to have respect for other teams like a normal human being (unlike other Islander fans) kudos to you man. And tbh i like the Islander's horn and the "Hey, you suck" chant was creative. Then the Devils steal it as with everything they do... "The Rangers Suck" chicken dance, "Rangers Suck" and Rock and Roll Part 2 are prime examples. Too bad they can't steal fans to sell out just 1 regular season game that's not against the Rangers. @Vincent Niederman The Flyers are a million years old. Briere, Timmonen, Bryzgalov, Mezaros are all on the wrong side of 30. Pronger won't come back. Meanwhile, the rangers have a stacked prospect pool. Gaborik, Lundqvist, and Richards are the only core guys older than 30.
