The 94 team lost game 1 to the Devils but that Rangers team had tough players/winners who came over from Edmonton and knew how to win cups and what it takes, guys like Buekeboom, Tikkanen, Glenn Anderson, Mctavish, Matteu etc all those players on that team were grinders and they wanted it more then the Devlis that year and this current team doesn't have those kinds of players, how much does this Ranger team want the cup? we will see starting tonight

Putting Rempe into the game is a sign of desperation. Rempe plays 5 mins or less. That is a waste of a line spot and there isn't much upside. The Panthers roll a solid 4 lines and will be in the Ranger's head. Best thing NY can do is roll same line and bring their physicality. Florida will not be intimidated by Rempe but NY will definitely feel the impact if Florida plays that heavy pressure game. NY will need as many guys to rotate in to keep up with that pressure.

@@GregParham-pm6lh NY has had a great PP. I don't want to give them any reason to get that going for them. Playing a man down even if our PK is great is like playing with fire. We took 2 penalties last game without playing less physical. We need that approach. No stupid "holding stick" penalty or high sticking penalties. Play smart. I'm excited to see them do that.

I must have watched a different game; the Panthers dominated this game. Their forecheck was best it has been all year. They smothered NY. I keep hearing about all the missed chances that NY had (posts, etc) but Florida hit a few posts themselves. The Panthers played near perfect D game and their goalie did his job. No one seems to be giving credit to Florida for winning that game; it is like everyone wants to say NY lost it. I call bullshit. Florida dominated and if NY doesn't respond, it will be a quick series

The Cats played a great defensive game in game 1. Don't get it confused. They can play way better on offense. Bob is a Vezina winner and finalist this year for a reason. He's still arguably the best in the NHL.

They did. Rangers didn’t execute. Two failed breakaways and lots of posts. Kakko’s one timer could easily have gone through but rattled around Bob’s glove and pad. It was basically a 1-0 Panthers win but Rangers should have had a couple of goals. Very tight game.
