Rangers may need Matt Rempe against physical Panthers

But he is not affecting the outcome of a game more. What they need is to hit the net on some of those great looks they got.

"We need Rempe" is the dumbest take of the playoffs so far. The Rangers had more high danger chances than the Panthers, including two breakaways, and two posts hit. They missed the net at least a dozen times on good looks. Call it rust or bad "puck luck" but that doesn't happen to them two games in a row. If they get their normal percentage of those shots on net it could have been a 3-1 game in the third. You know who would LOVE to have Rempe in there and turn it into a slugfest? Florida. That's exactly what they want. Rangers don't need to get "tougher" or fight more. They need to hit the fucking net with their shots. People acting like it was a blowout. It was 1-0 before a dumb clear attempt by Igor ended in an own goal by Laf.

I listened to the point that “it wasn’t what we expected”! As a rangers fan that’s watched this team every game for 20 years (i am now 40) I can say that it was what I expected because the only guy that can make a difference was either in the grandstands or watching this game at home with his parents. For anyone even thinking that this kid shouldn’t play because of “experience” thats BS. You can look at the last series and I can tell you the guy with a hat trick in game 6 scored his first nhl goal in a playoff game and never left the lineup since. Chris was straight out of Boston college that year. I knew they were going to experiment with Fillip and I knew they were going to be off because of it. The last play of the game was a complete reflection of how I felt going into that game without Matt Rempe. Nothing against fil he is an outstanding player but you can’t play under 15 games in a season and be questionable because of head injuries. Correct me if I’m wrong but Rempe played just under 30 games this year and they only lost 5 games, he also scored the first goal against Washington in the first game. I’ll end with this take the leash off him and let him play his game because everyone is going to get called for penalties it’s no different than anyone on the team that takes penalties. You deal with it, let him loose and let him destroy the panthers single handily. Haha

Rempe and Adam, the 6 8 guys would be a big influence on the 4th line, the enforcer line needs to happen, what I saw last game was lack of standing up for the team, and hitting star players like they did showed the Rangers were cowards and are pushovers, sad sad sad play,also where was the captain, didn't hit anyone till late in the 3rd, where he did not lead by example, that c should be stripped from him, maybe that will light a fire in his ass and be captain worthy.

Need to put Rempe back in, Chytl is a good player, but this serious needs the Rangers to have presence on the ice and some grit work along the boards. If you don't take out Chytl then you need to replace Kakko who is taking up a spot in the line-up, I am a fan of Kakko, but reality is setting in that he is a bust for the Rangers and needs new scenery as his performance thus far in the playoffs is short of El Cid on skates.

@project Kakko is too timid for the NHL. Period! I have been waiting for him to produce for 5 years and I'm done waiting. The guy has the hands, the size and the moves but besides spinning in the corners with the puck before turning it over almost everytime he has nothing. He's no Teemu Selanne, that's for sure. :(

It will be just like the Carolina series. He'll spend entire shifts hunting for a big hit, but be too slow to actually deliver one. And then he'll take a penalty, either warranted, or unwarranted due to his reputation.

Wheeler has looked like crap since he’s joined. Putting him in is a mistake. Also, adding FC was also a mistake. He’s rusty and soft. Every other game he’s hurt. He hasn’t really impressed me when he’s out there. I think Rempe should be given a shot, but if our star players stay quiet it doesn’t matter who we add.

It was a tight game the 2nd goal was a fluke put in by the RANGERS defense and the third was an empty net so they were in that game till the fluke goal put on by us

It was a close game. Shesterkin should have easily stopped the first goal and a fluke deflection resulted in the second goal. 1game doesn't decide any series. The Rangers need to play better and Florida isn't a much better team team than the Rangers.

Love the Rangers but they are an overall soft team how the hell does Chytil get buried into the boards at the end of the game although a clean hit but very unecessary, not 1 Ranger even grabbed a Panther or tried to go after the guy who put the hit on Chytil they just put their tails between their legs and went to the locker room?
