Rangers need to close this out in Carolina and not make it a game 7. In a game 7, the NY pressure will be is IMMENSE from both the media and fans, which can really adversely impact you mentally as a player. It can cause players to detract from their game plan and try to do everything solo, and not play as a team. Erratic passing, bad shots on goal, maybe even a bad penalty. Rangers blew a 2-0 lead last year to the Devils on this snowball effect of pressure, so if they blow a 3-0 lead this year it's going to be a very lonnnnnng summer for them.

Clickbait title. “Rangers on brink of collapse”? Really? We’ve only lost two games in the whole playoffs. Carolina still needs to win the next two games- the Rags only need to pinch one of them. Everyone knows how resilient the Rangers are. What are the chances they’ll lose four in a row? Yeah that’s right: not very likely. The Hurricanes blew it when they went 0-3 in this series. They’re playing the Rangers, who are the biggest comeback team in the league. This series was over for the Canes after Game 3.

Hate to say it because I love these guys. But Kreider and Mika have a history of being transparent during the big moments. I had hoped that they got it out of their system and they certainly seemed like it this season with all the come from behind wins. But where were they? Krieds seems like he might have found his niche but Mika, he wiffed the puck several times on plays where he wasn't pressured and it led to an immediate turn over. During the regular season the kids would step up but its the playoffs, big guys gotta be the big guys. Plain and simple.

How many series in history went from 3-0 to 3-2???? In all sports. ALOT the 3-0 team wins 99% of the time

"All sports" is too broad a sample. NHL history is the appropriate sample. And now that it's 3-2, you want to see what percentage of teams have won a series after winning the first 3 and then losing the next 2. It's way, way lower than 98%. For teams that win the first 3 then lose the next 3, it's about 45%.

There's nothing wrong with Kreider's quote last night. Fans are pissed because the Rangers sh*t the bed, and they want the core guys to bitch and moan, to voice the fans' frustrations. They want to hear Kreider say "That performance sucked and everyone in this room should be embarrassed about it. We just blew 2 chances to put this team away. It's unacceptable." And that would be fine too, I guess. But Kreider is just saying they need to approach game 6 as if it's a normal game 6 and not dwell on the 2 blown chances. They can't let the pressure get to them - Kreider's thought process is a sensible approach to doing that. He's just making sense.
