Both Edstrom and Rempe started out as Centers. Both are capable of playing all three forward positions.

FYI: I read an article a few months ago: McConnell-Barker is at 6' 2"....200 lbs, now. Not 186 lbs, anymore.

I know that playing hockey is not easy. But jee, the Ranger right wing position has really been mostly available for ten years. You would think that by now, someone in the organization would have been groomed to take this spot.

From game highlights I have watched, last season; and talking to Pack fans who attend the games: Robertson has been a disappointment. Mediocre at the AHL level. Laviolette and organization have been trying to give him a positive push forward: bringing him up with the team, a few times ( and as one of the Black Aces), for the post-season. But never played him.

This team is NOT a serious contender until they fill their 3rd center spot with a rugged player who is tough, good defensively, and a moderate scorer. (45pts)..that player is NOT Filip Chytil. They should have bought him out.

@michaelsica8839 This team won't be a serious Cup Contender: till the whole team ( top to bottom) man's up, steps up and plays a tough cohesive team defensive game ( in all three zones); where fierce forechecking, backchecking, defensive strength and offensive attacks are their team philosophy. They don't lack scoring skills. They lack the ferocious determination to force their will and physicality between the circles, and to the net. They lack the ability to break the bad habits: of having major intellectual defensive breakdowns ( dumb decisions and mental paralysis), in the big moments. They lack the ability to stop making stupid blind passes, awful mistakes in puck handling, and dangerous high risk cross ice passes: that become giveaways / turnovers.....going back into their zone. It is not the absence of one player.
