Hey Sean, is there a reason why, when Alex was calling heroic combats early game, you werent also calling them against his heroes? Essentially it would have given you a 50-50 roll off to cancel his heroic combat and stop him from continuing on and killing more guys. Worst case you lose the might which in a way you did anyways and best case you stop him (you would have been guaranteed to cancel at least one of them due to it going back and forth). Those three heroic combats he called early game really seemed to shift the momentum against you.

The Quality of the Battle Report is unmatched anywhere else!!! This is so cool and fun to watch. But you could show the player's reaction a bit more often to see the emotions behind the battle. In this case I mean of Alex because Sean was seen dying inside a few times. So my request is kind of to show both fighters. But I must say I absolutely love your editing and detailed explaining of the figures, the scenarios and the outcome! You are doing such a great job! Keep it up. And the Tournament style is just so catching and fun to watch:D

Great game. Shame the Rangers are not that good without beat stick heroes. They really need a buff, they're over well overcosted and average stats/war gear.

I love the rangers army but they’re not a tournament winning or even competitive army. Yes you get might but you use it all first round of shooting to get a few kills and then once closed down you essentially have 20 standard ranger level troops with pretty low fight and low defence. Only one attack and one wound etc.

They have 2 attacks from the army bonus. Fight 4 and strength 4. They can definitely cut through an army pretty effectively.

@Alex the March with delayed At The Double call was masterful. I think that won you the game. Well played! @Sean while there were some tactical errors, I’m not sure what you could have done against the Taskmaster’s infinite +4 rolling compounded with not winning a single roll off. I loved the strategy to target the enemy archers to swing the shooting battle heavily in your favor. What happened in Turn 2? I was expecting a Heroic Accuracy and dismounting all Cav, forcing them to stay put another turn (unless a 6 was rolled on Thrown Rider).

I am sorry to say it, but rangers deployment is just like someone who play them first time and say: yolo! Absolutely miss understanding how to play them. All of them should be in range of 1 hero, who can call heroic shooting or heroic accuracy. There is litteraly no reason to split like that if you are going to shoot competition, and ranger player should know it because he deploy most of his forces second. In first turn of shooting he pay for it and already loose that game in my opinion. Turn three and he let charge dunedains by all heroes which is instant death for them. Dunedains should also call heroic fights to do them first and dont let evil heroes jump to another fights.

I played this very very very poorly and have absolutely no excuses. My absolutely weakest performance in all aspects of playing rangers by far. Happens to the best of us from time to time. Love that it happened on the biggest MESBG channel tho 😅 Ah well it's a game, life's not over. -Sean
