i remember this when i was 6 or 7 watching this with my lil brother and middle oldest sissy. that was back when me and my sibilings had no phones or tablet only t.v. me and my sibilings would jump on our bunk-beds watching old t.v and new t.v shows and just laugh. we had a VCR by the time i was young. i really miss those days than 2015.

spoilers . . . . . . when he tries to kill himself after realizing he's a chameleon in the metaphorical and literal sense of the word--he was never the hero he puffed himself up to be, and betrayed the townspeople with a big fat lie that his inflated ego kept him from revealing

Nak Attack it wasn't an inflated ego, or at least that wasn't the main reason. The main theme of the movie is identity. Rango originally lied to get some respect, but after that, he was excited, the people were excited, and he decided to go with it because he had felt that he had finally found his place in the world, his own identity outside the stage as an actor, but even then he wasn't entirely satisfied because he was still putting on an act, still playing a role instead of truly being the character he made himself out to be until the end of the movie where he realized he could use that to boost his own confidence and fulfill the gap of what he felt was a missing identity.

Brilliant example of metafiction.... All elements of story are here and film is aware of itself and what it needs to move forward as a story.. Fun of symbolism and tropes. One of the smartest movies I've seen in a long time. LOVE self-aware movies
