That just reinforces the theme of the movie even better. Rango was (initially) a pretender. And yeah, by all accounts that's just an impressiom of Eastwood, also someone pretending...but he **needed** to be the Man with No Name for this story, to inspire Rango to be the hero Dirt needed.
