Rani Jha, master painter and teacher at the Mithila Art Institute in Madhubani (India), discusses her aesthetic approach to art. She is a special guest of Syracuse University's Ray Smith Symposium, titled "Transformations in South Asian Folk Arts, Aesthetics, and Commodities" (Feb. 27-March 1, 2014).
