Upon learning that the milkmen have brought milk and sweets, Chandramani wants to make porridge, which is to be distributed along with the sweets in the village. Rani promises to give shelter to Sardar’s motherless daughter, Soudamini. In Kamarpukur, the worshippers of Goddess Kali go to Khudiram’s house and tell him that the child born to Khudiram is of divine origin. Khudiram lets Chandramani bring Gadadhar to meet with worshippers as he realises that Gadadhar’s fame will go beyond Kamarpukur.
