A rare song......lyrics by Anai Vaidyanathan Iyer of 18 th century who was a great exponent of manodharma/ extemporaneous singing. He also composed the famous 72-Melakartha Ragamalika (pranataartihara) and a Thillaana with the Pallavi beginning "gowri naayaka kanakasabhaanaayaka. Here "RaGa sisters presented a lovely viruthamn excelled in the melodious rendition of the song in 'Sindhubhairavi'.Best wishes

I have not heard anyone sing virutthams better than the RaGa sisters! Hats off to them! I have always loved the Chandrasekhara song in the enchanting Sindhu Bhairavi! Incomparable rendition by the sisters as only they can do! Long live! Accompanists did a great job also! Thank you very much Mr Narayan Kumar for sharing this priceless video clip with us!
