Got any plans to post a Batman guide? His tools didnt click as well compared to other characters for me and I feel like I'm wasting a lot of it, so I put my Batman on hold. Bat bomb, batarang, smokescreen, and the dive kick all seem useful when other people are playing but are just okay when I use them

Its difficult to make a guide right now. Batman is being changed very frequently and his play style has been constantly changing for months. Perhaps after the next changes to batman where batman is in a more stable place so my guide wont be outdated in a month

it has changed since this video but as of the current patch I use batarang main perk, Its flammable, speed force, triple jump. I somtimes change out flammable for slippery customer or toon elastic depending on matchups.

you're so good, but this video gave me mixed feelings (preface, batman is my 2nd most played char) like are you showcasing how good you are or showing how dummy batman is and how bad the game is? like when you're circling the batarang, or spamming spikes, how is that good gameplay? why does the batarang take so long to despawn while in the air, like what in the actual fuck were the devs thinking when they let it fly for so long... it's just ridiculous your dodges and combos are so clean though, can't take that away from you also, batman on scooby doo's mansion is unbeatable, also the most hated map...

Batarang is batmans gimmick. every character in this game has a gimmick. Batman is S tier in 1’s no doubt but characters like jake can float off stage for infinitely. Superman is a tank that can KO you if you make one spacing error regardless of health (and ice breath spam). I could go on and on

@@maccooper13 yeah, I'm not saying batman is broken above others, I suffer jakes and supermans exactly for the things you described as well, I'm just saying some of the design decisions are incredibly hard to understand... just imagine you are the main designer, and you get to decide when does the batarang despawn while in the air... I would imagine anywhere from 2.5 to 5 to be ok, and you'd still have the comeback mechanic... it has almost TEN SECONDS, I just timed it. what sensible human being would make such a projectile be active for 10 seconds in a freaking platform fighting game, and it has incredibly low cooldown if you pick it up. idk, 10 seconds long? ok, then maybe make everyone break it when they neutral dodge it (no perk), so at least they can counterplay it without it depending on character specific skills (like armor, or projectiles to collide with btg) otherwise the game is a huge rock paper scissors, where char A fucks B because B doesn't have a good response to the batarang.

@@Meuhandle late response but I just wanted to add my 2 cents 1. Every character has a spike and good air mobility with air dashes. That's not unique to Batman and everyone can get kills that way, just a game design choice 2. You missed that the montage shows a lot of kills off the top too, it's not just a lot of spikes. Everyone also has 2 jumps(3 with perk), 2 air dashes, and 2 aerial specials. So people commonly kill with a combo string like up attack, up air, up special, air dash, up special. Not unique to Batman either, everyone has a similar option here. 3. Batarang being out for 10 seconds is specific high level tech. A common person picking up Batman has batarang out for like out then back that's it. The tech require you to have advantage and you can't do much else other than try to keep it active cause you can't be doing a bunch of other inputs otherwise you catch it. The Arya in the video jumped into it but they could've waited it out on the wall or timed it differently. Overall my point is though none of these 3 things are free, it's a fighting game and your opponent still has options you have to catch people off guard. A lot of these aren't infinites/true combos so it's not exactly broken. Not everyone is playing Batman like this you have to get to a high level Any character can *look* broken in a combo video montage, you don't show yourself getting comboed, KOed, and 0 to deathed lol
