@@prestonabelmann9978 not always for me, I use a hundo alolan marowak in great league and its 1494CP and is my best performing Pokémon there. Not the best, I understand, but they can sometimes be good for leagues lower than Masters

Pretty sure it depends on the Pokémon. I have a hundo Scrafty that’s at a perfect 1500, but something else might be better with a lower IV set.

So in leagues like the great league it's better to have a low 'attack-high defence-high stamina' Pokemon Out of these 3 (attack, defence, stamina) the attack stats have the most influence on the cp of the Pokemon while powering it up. So a Pokemon with lower attack stats will reach higher levels while keeping the cp under cap , and the higher levels of the Pokemon will increase the bulk of the Pokemon and it'll be able to take more damage. To have more levels on the pokemon making it have higher level, meaning more hp and defense. Also bc of cp caps in the pvp leagues mainly great league and ultra league. Att has the highest effect on the cp as well. For certain pokemon too the att can be higher like carbink #1 iv is like 5-15-15 or something because the highest cp from carbink is like 1500 and something.

So in POGO a Pokémon’s CP is influenced by it’s stats. Attack has the most influence on what a Pokémon’s CP will be when leveling it up. So the community realized that if a Pokemon had lower attack, its CP doesn’t go up as much. Meaning that you can fit more power ups into it before it hits a battle league CP cap. This extra power ups combined with a high defense and HP stat makes the Pokemon bulkier. So it can take more hits. The attack stat being low has very little affect on pvp performance, especially in the great league. In the master league a max attack stat is better though.

@@bigfis6309Hundos are really only good for master league, unless they cap at lower range for ultra league, only a couple hundos are good for great league because they dont even reach the limit, like Wobbafett, etc. Same with my advice on ultra league, most hundos are to reach as close to the league cp as possible.

Lower attack stat means lower cp, which means you can power it up to a higher level before it reaches the cp cap of 1500cp for the great league. This means you can get more stat total on your pokemon compared to one with a high attack stat
