Using his vills in the army was such a good idea. He already was way far ahead in villager count, plus he got the hunting equipment upgrade and skin of the rhino, so the vills were tanking!

Grass was focused on pushing but maybe once he blocked the red's gold mines he should to use some myth units cause red couldt made heroes (he was ran out of gold) and the vills attack wouldnt be effective, but is nice to see Ra winning

From what I understand they typically use a hotkey to select all ranged army, or all hero army, or all melee army. Quite nice these options exist in the hotkeys

Norse took final fight at the worst possible time. The longer he turtles after Egypt runs out of gold, the weaker Egypt becomes (comparatively). By fighting exactly when the gold runs out he is fighting just before he has time to start gaining on Egypt.

What do you say was the better play there? I'd think, try to wall behind forts, making mass husks (fort anti ranged unit) amd mass heroes cavalry and ranged (jarls and godies) to try countering all the ranged chariots and son of osiris. But, not sure those egyps units are so strong he might just push and win before you can mass your army.

I don't get why the norse player didn't make more TCs at any point when he had 100% map control. You're not outbooming Ra for sure but you still need eco and pop cap to fight him. I'd put his loss on not being able to produce enough army and not being able to advance to mythic age ever 100%. Both of those things were caused because he stayed on 1 TC the entire game.

8:00 Sobek has always been the more favorable minor god for heroic ra. If you were talking about isis, sure. Medjay was simply too strong prior to retold to not pick as ra. Ancestors eclipse was better for isis than medjay's long term benefits. Sekhmet pickers are truely inspired. Lub me bonebows. Lub be gigaseige. Lub me +10 pop limit. Lub me sun slingers with electrum bullets vs norse.

Newer player here.. How does the Norse player have ranged hero units in age 3? I thought hersirs were their only heroes.

Godi (plural godir) are a new unit to fill that gap. Greek heroes can also switch to ranged weapons against flyers.

Have you played AoM: Retold at all? Its very easy to get 300 favor to replay him. Of course wonder age almost never happens but even in age 4 you should be able to play him again in a normal length game

he can't be healed and you can easily melt him with archers, SoO and Niddhog are pretty underwhelming mythic age god powers, and once you kill them your enemies will never realistically manage to gain enough favor to recast it, unless you allow them to.

I thought recon was a pro, yet he doesn't know how to garrison his priest into his tc to get a better shot on those walking woods, talking about a panic situation, idk what he was doing but nothing micro wise was more important than killing the siege in that situation. Pro means 95% focused, these guys play at like 70-80%. Yet to see any RTS pros, besides hera but he's a demon, don't know why people call them pros, pro in any other competitive game scene is really up there, big brain plays, small slips. I think RTS gamers are far from pro yet, as it gets more popular, with even bigger tournaments, i'm sure the real pros will come to be. The hardest genre to get good at. Even beastyqty is not a pro by standards. People should stop throwing the word out there like everyone is a pro, defeats the purpose of the words value. haha he even uses his priest to siege rather than heal oh man this is like low rank legends on dota haha. Top players in RTS, yes, pros, be real

RecoN is rank #1 player at the moment, where are you on that list? If he's playing for money he is a professional. Not to mention Retold has been out a month so you can't really compare it to established RTS that has been out for years and has players with thousands of hours perfecting the known optimal strategies. The competitive players are still in the exploration stage for this game. It's like your calling a civ in the classic era shit because you've seen one in the mythic era before. Let them cook.

@@georgiascarlett9679 I don't want to be hard in ranked games, already been there done that on dota and other games, I still get kicked for 'cheating' in alot of casual games, its not fun being in the spotlight all the time, I would be up there on the list if I did. Will wait and see, keen to watch the games, just no pros yet in the RTS scene, besides someone like hera, not a fan of hera, but everyone is saying pros when there aren't any yet, if this still makes sense. Iv watched quite a lot of recons games on aoe3, he is no doubt one the best and was top the ladder for alot of the times on aoe3 but I don't think he'd be calling himself pro, along with many others, all good at their own strats but not good at all at once. Im rooting for recon this time clearly
