This is how gems SHOULD be. Good to great for specific builds and synergies.. not just 'good' for everything. That makes it boring when everyone runs the same gems. Nice perspective on this gem thank you. In addition to the damage synergies, this gem also adds another layer of area control for wiz. Arcane torrents, floating blue orbs, and storm vaults coming at you where you gonna stand?

Great work Apollyon Gaming. I'm using Storm Vault with my Tempest in conjunction with Vortex + the essence of stripping armor for 4 seconds while dealing 28% more damage in that span . When I'm dealing with Bosses . They just melt fast. Together with Rolling C. and Blood Soak jade and Starfire. Love the gem. Yes , is a situational gem in close quarters like Lairs, Rifts and HQ bosses. By is a good gem.

Genius man! I guess people don’t understand you are using this synergy with a Wizard in Frost Spec. Its not for every Class and for every other build. This synergy is amazing for Wizard using this Frost Spec. That is what Apollyon is trying to tell ya, it works for a Frost Wizard. I appreciate your video! Be not discouraged by those people who just don’t seem to understand how the gems you have chosen synergizes well with Wizard in a Frost build utilizing Arcane Wind that freezes players instantly. (^_^)

@@ApollyonGaming Awesome mate! I was lucky pulling a 5/5 in the stormvault event. And then the cheap copies gave me rank 6 almost 7. The gems trigger all my other gems so fast! 0.5 seconds is no joke!

Those who are bashing this gem either only used it on the trial or simply do not have any idea. The gem is perfect for CC builds. Even as an auxiliary, it is already good.

Interestingly, everybody who’s using the gem loves it and the rest is talking poorly about it probably to make them feel better about not getting the gem themselves. I have it at rank 8 and its a very good gem that complements my set up perfectly. Enjoy it!

Yes, Stormvault has some decent synergies, but inquiring minds really want to know what that new 5* gem is pictured in the priority drop rate part of the update notes. It looks like a spider wrapped around a dark green gem, and it's not seeping bile which you can see behind and below the other gem. Blizz has already replaced the picture file attached to it with another unrelated one. Give it up! What do you know? LOL :)

This gem with starfire and maw > gg. Cant believe ppls dont still realize The value of this gem, top aoe gem and 90% players thinks ITS trash 🐔 Any cc skill or gems like starfire + maw works well together with this gem Myself have it 5/5 rank6 and definetly going for rank7.

The gem is okish for some niche builds (tried lvl5) But… from all leg gems he could be in 7th/8th place at best. Long term with new versatile gems coming this will be a gem food anyway…feeded it myself.

This is how it SHOULD be. Gems should be ranked differently depending on your class, build, synergies. Lets not have another pure damage gem that gives +50% damage for all. Then there would be no thought or decision making in the game and everyone runs the same gems

Lol. Comments are so mean. To which is own. It has pros and con. As one of cons it is easy to dodge however as one of pros opponent lost positioning. Especially when there 4 people cast at the same time will make you retreat(loss of objective). Hate probably came from envy. Clearly they don't intend to make an argument as to the viability of the gem but about spending. 😅

A good gem but not a must have that fits with all possible builds like you're saying. Considering how it's difficult to make plat right now, leveling up all rounders gems like BH, BSJ or Roiling are better priorities. If you can level up this gem and start from the beginning then good for you :)

but viper, bile or any dot from a skill can proc roiling, starfire and maul. You dont need an AOE gem to do that

The fact that you have to dodge it will cause you to lose time, possibly a cd and positioning. In addition to arcane torrents, scorch orbs this would be a pain for large groups to be forced to dodge

This gem is not really a good Rank 1 PvE gem but it will be a better PvE Gem at Rank 5 and above, actually this Stormvault gem is a PvP Gem, specifically design for Tanks who Hug Statue, because I am a Tank player. With the new Barbarian Essense that Chain drag enemies towards the Barbarian to the statue, then Stormvault slow the enemy followed by Maw Knock Up and Starfire Knockback, who else can escape? A great Counter to Necro and DH players,

No the first cloak/cape is after 4.weeks of.being immortal.but... you only receive it after your reign Ends and.you turn into shadow once more , and your reign must be blessed :)
