Damn this game was the reason I bought an Xbox (Gamertag Reeferwerewolf). I used to play this everyday. Took a 2 yr break, bought an PS4 for Street Fighter 5 in January 2020. By the end of March I'm right back to Killer Instinct. Watching this got me ready to go back online.

Glacius, no matter how many times I see him (And I haven't played this game yet), his slow menacing walking movement combined with a trap projectile, semi-teleportation and insane fast long-range attacks (which acts like a part of him), makes him easily one of my favorite characters in KI and in fighting games genre.

No other comes close to Glacius. He's my main because of his extremely versatile toolbox and ability to really, really, really pump out the damage. As soon as I see my opponent get locked out, it's time to bring in the hurt. Glacius isn't the fastest, but he never needs to be.

Killer Instinct (2013) is STILL one of the best western american video games. Hell, Killer Instinct (1994) (arcade version) is stated to be the top 8th best fighting games of ALL times by WatchMojo. I'm so happy and glad a person like my bro Maximilian Dood and others who TRULY sees the experience of Killer Instinct (2013).

Sometimes I forget Max has attracted so many subs in the past years and many of them dont know of the glory days of KI. If youre a fighting game fan, give it a chance. Totally rewards those that know their matchups and what certain attacks look like to break, makes for insane outplays with the counter breakers, all making this game hype as hell. It really makes you think... it took DH like... approx. 8 months to put this game together? Everything was basically in place within the year. The foundation in graphics, gameplay, music and sound design is so damn rock-solid. Putting aside Microsoft's fuck-up with the marketing, and only focusing on the devs: The whole philosophy behind this is the apex of what I strive to achieve in game design. To me, this game will forever be a godsend.

That isn't to say they didn't do anything, because for sure, they did. But the game's core was complete thanks to DH, and in an insane amount of time that most devs would spend years, and not months, to achieve the same level of quality.

I just started playing this game and am not grasping the combo system at all. The tutorial tried its best, but coming from blazblue's gatlings is taking some getting used to. Also the fact that I'm playing with a friend who, whenever he does anything cool and I ask him how he did that, he says "HOW SHOULD I KNOW I'M PRESSING BUTTONS AND IT DOES THINGS!" doesn't help my learning of this game..

Glacius shines when the player using him has high fight-iq, and just the smallest, tiniest sliver of patience. That's when Glacius just becomes an absolute nightmare to deal with. Seriously, Glacius can engage at any range and isn't afraid to get in close and personal. He's not the fastest, but with high fight-iq he never needs to be.
