that's not the issue, the issue is they keep giving you terrible teammates to make you lose. If you overwhelm enemy team that means you are more skilled and beating their ass it's a good thing, its a sign that you are better, if you can't do that that means your team are not good enough, it's not meant to be back and forth if it's back and forth it's not a good thing, it means you are doing something wrong.

I havent played much of ranked, I normally play solo since most of my boys are on console. Right now Im bronze 1 and the games seem to always be one sided, either my team is destroying the other team or my team is getting destroyed lol. Im not sure how in such low levels the games can be like that, I did notice tho that when I win a game with good stats the next game the other team would be one rank higher. So in bronze 3 some games I played against bronze 2 players and even bronze 1. While my teammates were all bronze 3 and I had 1 or 2 level 10s on my team and it def showed lol. They need to up the level at which is required for you to play ranked cause at level 10 you dont know much unless your on a smurf but I never get smurfs on my team I just play against them lol.

@@oSellout well yeah, but everyone started off as bronze, so the good players would advance, and the bad ones would stay in bronze. Resetting the progress from plat 3 all the way down to bronze and having to rank up again is just redundant. plus anyone who is gold skill level and ranked up to gold early in the season have to play against a mix of diamond, and low GM players which just isn’t fair. Atleast everyone starting in bronze means that there is an equal chance of getting any skill level teammates and the game was new. I think you should be put in the 3rd division of the rank you’re in, or you go down exactly 1 rank

Had a scarlet that refused to fill in for the second tank so we had 3 dps and somehow did no damage still. I was healer and did 30k heals while the other healer(Adam) only did 9k.

One thing people aren’t seeing is that the percentage amounts are dropped way down. Top 1% was in GM before, but when I last queued Platinum was top 1%, so you’re still facing the same sorts as before the rank drop early on. As ranks settle it’ll go back to the way it was prior.

This season, Silver II says you’re about 80.0%. So according to the game itself, the Silver II skill pool is wayyyyy higher than last season. That’s honestly what gave me the motivation to persevere.

Last season I placed diamond 2 peaking like diamond 1 80% to gm 3 and demoted to gold 3 or something bc of the reset, along with 2 of my friends who finished diamond 2 or 1. I also had a friend who was hardstuck bronze because he’s kinda dookie but we thought “hey, we can queue together and carry him out of bronze because gold and bronze can queue together” and we did that and got him to silver 2 before we got to plat and couldn’t queue with him. Do you understand how ridiculous that is? We were in silver lobbies when he was in bronze, that meant that in these silver lobbies there were players that peaked 1 win away from gm and a player that got out of bronze 3 for the first time on the last day of the season. Bronze 3 to diamond 1 is 14 ENTIRE DIVISIONS and we could play together. Feel very bad for those poor silver lobbies though.

I hit diamond just before the season ended, then i got put into silver 1 and lost 3 games in a row before giving up. None of the matches were fair, there was a former GM on the other team at one point. The other 2 games my teammates played like they had never touched a button in their life

The frustrations are so real, I started the climb on day 1 of the season, I’ve hit diamond yesterday, but every game is just a really depressing mental workout where I am being gapped by their supports because there were ex eternity players. It is a miserable experience and I really don’t recommend grinding until the most of the top players hit eternity. Last season I started the rank climb late, missing the first week of launch, then I took a break for a week right before the season would end. Not being put against insane players immediately just meant it was an easier path up. Learn as we go. This season however, was pushing me to my limits, especially when I wasn’t much of a fps player in the first place (most experienced was valorant and my ass was in silver) with teammates that were at the top percentile talking shit towards me just because I wasn’t up to expectations (they still think they’re in the top 2 ranks). I somehow managed to keep a positive winrate throughout my games (mainly thanks to my duo) but every game was a miserable experience. Today, I went on a fresh account, solo queued until s3. It was absurd having level 30 bronze 3 players, who were formerly gold plat players last season run over brand new level 10 accounts. Ofc they didn’t get me as I won some. It’s just you don’t feel the impact of a good support until you support gap people in lower ranks. Ended a game off with 50k heals while everyone else had 20k. And I’ve been so upset with not being to keep up with the top percentile of players. Idk if anyone is gonna take the time to read this, but just wait a few weeks before queuing ranked… let the the hardcore people get into their respective ranks, because it is not a fun time with these egotistical and snobby players. Just give us placements! 10 matches. Take account personal performance more and then go from there. Maybe boost people one or two rank higher than expected (Gold 3 ends up in Gold 1). If it’s too high, they’ll fall quickly. If not, they’ll stay and maybe climb. And win rate needs to be higher to climb. I touched Diamond last season. Might do it again as I feel actually better than a player but I’m not really encouraged to want to climb for a competitive experience when I keep hearing people don’t have common sense until Eternity.

Being in games where im watching insta lock dps go 3 and 12, Watching the healers run ahead of you as the tank to dps instead of heal. That one player that has swapped 12 times in the same match. I am so glad you made this video. I hit platinum 3 last season and bumped me down to bronze 1. I grinded for 2 nights straight in the new season and went DOWN to bronze 2 because the teams were not consistently the same skill levels. But the enemy team would have like 1 bronze played and the rest were silver players and I would get sweeped. And I was putting up crazy healing these games and nothing would happen lol. I played for 2 days last season and made it to gold I. This season after starting back at bronze, I finally made it back to gold 2 but wow I feel like the game is working against me. The enemy teams all have plats last season and then I people with highest ranked silver. I lost 12 games in a row yesterday and not a single one of them was close. At this point I can almost predict exactly how each game will go. Usually there is a problem with team comp, teammate insults players causing the problems before game starts, game begins and 2 teammates die, funneling single file commences, I get team to group back up, backliners go in and die, team wiped, we lose. At least when I played overwatch I felt like I played with people that were my rank for the most part, this just feels bad. I have one other person I queue with, and we had someone play with us the other day, who isn’t the best player but just having a more cohesive team won us so many more games. To all the people who have friends who play games with them, I’m jealous 😂

This is the worst ranked matchmaking I have ever experienced in my entire life. My bro on pc hit grandmaster S0, and I hit gold 1 off like 6 matches. We are very similar skill level, drop the same stats as dps and healers. Yet I’m hardstuck in fucking silver this season. No matter how hard I carry, no matter how many 30+ kill games, 50k+ heal games. Nothing fkn matters in this game apparently. “Stats don’t matter”, “Farming heals doesn’t matter”, “High dps doesn’t matter”..I genuinely can’t comprehend how terrible some of these randoms are, and how toxic this community is. For me a gm 3, it wasn t that bad to climb, sure i had my bad matches with some diamonds but generally everyplayer i played with, whether on my team or the enemies had the gm crest. Im currently diamond 3, reaching for 2 and aslong as you play something impactful and fill in, youre probably gonna end up on your rank, hell maybe even higher. The plats and gold go down to bronze hell and they wont climb for a while. While it is bad that your actual rank doesn t show and youre stuck in 1 division, lets be honest, the diffrence from plat and bronze is minimal when it comes to actual team efforts and cooperation, the only diffrence being is you have some knowledge on how to play your instalocked dps. Its more of a lesson to teach you that if you want to get out of bronze hell you need to learn to actually fill and play like a team player not the solo bp or spiderman. Still the lesson isn t taught good because even if you do actually fill, you still depend on your other teammates to do so aswell. Overrall its hell for the mid players. The 7 divisions decrease was too much, being in diamond 3 at the moment is like being in eternal 3 and being bronze means you are either garbage or mid.

I made it to plat last year and dropped right before the new season. I had no time to play those last couple of days before the season ended or else I probably would have climbed out of plat. The reset is horrible. It feels like my teammates have never climbed out of bronze and the enemy team is full of diamonds and plats constantly. I’m currently juggling between silver 1 and 2. Last year I was able to climb all the way to plat without a single issue. Now it’s just super balanced. Also without any champ bans, it’s absolutely horrible. There are just certain champs my teammates just do not know how to handle. I had a moon knight trying to constantly 1v1 a broken storm… a Loki that didn’t know why he was doing terrible against an enemy moon knight… like come on man it’s not hard, learn how to adjust. The lower ranks just do not know how to adjust to matchups and refuse to change roles if they are doing horrible in their current roles. The lower ranks is Hell, I’m assuming it’ll be hell until you climb to GM.

I was d3, was placed s1 and am now d3 again. The difference is that when i got d3 in s0 the thingy said above 96% or something, now it said 99% and most of the people in the lobbies have the gm badge. So I will say it has more to do with me improving than getting back to playing with the same people I was playing with in d3 past season. Things should get back to where they were within a couple more weeks but the complaints make sense, my first dozen games where people were dragging actual bronze players into my games on both teams and things were just really weird.

Top rank was diamond 2, ended season plat 2, and was silver 2 or 3 when they reset ranks. Haven't grinded that hard due to only doing comp with a friend(left him in the dust last season while he was gone 3 days), but it has definitely been a struggle playing in silver 2. It's worse for me since I main a strategist too, so performance of team will be largely limited by dps and vanguards doing or not doing their jobs. I started the season playing invisible woman and doing pretty good, but every single game we were losing I would be blamed for the loss with people raging about me not being a dps class. Even had games where people would steal her from me on half time out of spite even though I was the only actual healer on the team. Pretty frustrating, and can't wait to get back into plat at least since players at those levels are at least not as toxic.

Man! I was GM2 last season. I'm D3 rn, going back and forth to P1. None of the matches are balanced, its either stream roll one way or the other. Literally I just got off right now, our support decided mid game to DPS and I notice we have one Supp. I swap soon as I die and dude goes 2-9 writing 'I bad and I don't like it. It literally feels either one team gets the competent players and the other doesn't. I'm fine if the lobby is sweaty and we all know our roles. BUT right now its a fucking dice roll and you can only hope you get decent teammates. Some of them its not they're fault, they're Plat/Gold getting rolled by GMs. Its actually bizarre.

i thought i was tripping when i said the matchmaking are ass but seeing more people complain about it made me realize that they shouldn’t have added another rank too early in the game imo. what i notice tho in every single game that has competitive or rank, they only add another rank in the higher lobby’s. i would love to see marvel rivals take a different approach and add a rank in the lower ranks because this game popularity brought people who only play games like call of duty or sports game that don’t really know how to play a hero shooter game like marvel rivals. Now the rank drop idea was good but 7 it’s a stretch. it forces higher rank players drop down to a rank where they completely destroy lower rank players that are actually supposed to be in the rank to adapt and get better. so that’s why they should’ve down 3-5 to test them if they can get in the ranks again.

For a while I've been wondering why some people are just so good its impossible to play. I mainly just play whats needed, if we arent succeeding I swap champs/role. Won games leaving healing and just going dps Squirrel girl. Tanks I will play Groot/Venom/Strange/Thor/Magneto. Swap between them if one doesnt work. Healer invis or luna. Dps I've tried a few but squirrel girl is just easiest to play and pull off well. :D

Solo queue Diamond 3 set back to Silver 1. I feel like I was straight up bullying some lobbies. And in others, my teammates insta-lock dps and I have the 'here we go again' moment. The seven ranks thing is a dumb idea. They just made elo hell worse for its residents.

I was Grandmaster 3 last season. Currently back up to diamond 3 but I’ve hit diamond 2 twice but keep getting demoted if I solo que I basically have to que in with at least 2-3 people or I just get engineered games to make me lose.. from shitty teammates who refuse to work together to just a 6 man team and the craziest thing is even the games I’m losing I’m going like 52-8, 37-9, 28-6 etc it’s actually nuts 😂

I only played until I got to gold III last season (for the skin), I'm currently at gold II, didn't realize people had a problem with this (especially since everyone besides the lower ranks go down the same amount, so many will be fighting people of the same skill level as before)

I somehow always faced tolvl 40 & above at gold 3, while my teamate is just lvl 20 below and some at silver 1. I mainly play support, so its hard and near impossible. There is so much i can do as a support and i try to approach different strategy but its futile.

iwas thinking of quiting cuz this games fun but I could be doing other stuff, finished plat 3 last season, got sent to bronze 1 I think, now I'm back at gold 3, pushing for diamond at least, this season, on PC all I'm saying ism since I stopped really caring, the games have been fine, there's that 60% rule right, 30% of your matches are automatic L's 30% are automatic wins and 40% of your matches you can be the difference, I've been keeping that in mind, taking 1-2 day breaks away from the game, and climbing has been chill, I will say playing some gold games today, my teams feel a lot more competent and its really nice lmao also W persona music, its so nostalgic

they should add some layer to the matchmaking that benefits solo players. like, do you play in a group of 2, 3 or more? then when you lose, you'll lose between 25-20 RP. do you play solo? then you'll lose 20 RP at most. they should also give some use to those "icons" at the end of the match of who dealt the most damage, who healed the most, etc. 3 points per icon, maybe. so, you lost the match, but you were the one who healed the most and got the most assists? then you will stop losing 6 RP of those 20 that I mentioned (if you are solo), losing in total an amount between 11-14 RP. It's stressful knowing that you lost the same amount of points as a Moon Knight who went negative at the end because he didn't want to switch to support/another dps and was flanked the entire game by a spider-man.

Ended in diamond, dropped to gold, now up to plat1. If you’re good you’ll climb. I like that they drop everyone’s rank. It gives everyone the ability to climb. Now we won’t be stuck in the same ranks season after season like OW. Matchmaking is actually fair. Yes you’ll occasionally have bad teammates but that’s in any pvp game. I hope they don’t change it. I hope they keep it this way and not change it to elo hell like OW is. I’m climbing solo. So anyone can climb.

nah bro i swear they be biased with who gets good teammates. last season, silver I was the hardest rank for me to climb out of (I peaked Diamond III) Now, this season I'm back at silver I and can't get out of it. Silver II is fine for me. I can climb out of gold III in like 2 hours. But Silver I this season and last feels impossible. I didnt even feel like I was getting better after silver I, but I swear I stopped getting negative kd dps, tilters, throwers, and inters. Plat II and III were some of my easiest ranks, but I have other people telling me how terrible their plat teammates were. Mine were great.

Im a level 49 and ive been hard stuck in silver. Last season my highest ranked was silver 1 but i got demoted to silver 2 at the end. This season ive manage to hit silver 1 but i lost 4 games ina row today so im back at silver 2. My problem is that I have brain dead teammates who leave in the first half and i still get points taken away due to ppl leaving.. Or I have healers or vanguards who instant die so we loss that way. Its messing with my mental and its so frustrating to climb. Im a climber and i solo que but i cant do it no more, its utterly impossible to do that at silver 1. So ima try to ranked wit sum1 else today and see if that helps. N Btw i got almost 300 hours on this game so im not bad its just gen so unfair that im teaming up with ppl who play this badly/noobs.

Its crazy in bronze high mobility and flying characters are basically invincible. Because they just get ignored. No one tries a hitscan or anti dive character. I was Plat last season because I didn’t play a lot. I grinded to Plat 2, and now I’m getting placed with GMs. All my teammates are sped, and I’ve literally learned every tank now because no one wants to switch to a second tank anymore. I’m always positive, but my teammates can’t push correctly. They’re all doing their own thing, and everyone is so toxic, blaming everyone but themselves. I was a GM last season. This season, everyone's rank reset really messed everyone's rank. Now it's SO FUCKING HARD to climb like what the fuck? I hard FUCKING carried and I still lose. The rank reset put me in Gold 1. I climbed up to Platinum 1, then got dropped to Gold 3, then climbed back up to Platinum. It's SO miserable like holy fuck Yes I was solo like you It was so easy to climb last season but not this season because.... I'm still playing with and against GM but in FUCKING Platinum-_- There are some GM, very few Celestial and no one's in Eternity and One Above All right now. I just want to pull my hair ugh

almost platinum teams got worse my last game was horrible teams never want to push even when we have 3 healers a tank had to off two healers sacrifice myself in the process and the teams couldn't even take the point with the other dps oml. Then had two ult off 3 of their teamates while being harassed by spiderman who is impossible to off with moonknight took him out too in a tight space holy f bro these teams are bad need a team of my own this the wakanda map by the way. I was only Gold 3 in season 0 because I at least wanted to unlock the Moon Knight skin. I got demoted all the way to Bronze 3, which is not a problem, but I have to build my way to Gold 2 since a friend of mine is there and waiting for me. Currently in Silver 2, but let me tell you, I was in Bronze 3 and I had 9 losses back to back, no points to even go further down. Similar shit happened in Silver 2; 1 point into the tier, lost four times, had to climb my way up into it again, currently at like 42 points, two wins in a row and I’m in Silver 1, but I’ve never had two wins in a row this season. No clue how the people I get paired with were gold or plat last season, because they play like complete noobs. I don’t even play competitive shooters or hero shooters but I swear I understand more about the team comp and coordination than most teammates I get paired up with; and the amount of people that pick a third DPS is astounding, we still haven’t learned the basic rule of 222? That stuff can slide in QP, but not in Ranked. People need to learn to stick and push an objective together, pick characters that synergize well with each other (even without teamups) and pick two tanks to push. I can’t dictate the pace of the battle as a solo tank, I am not a top 500 player that can foresee every different play the opposite team is doing, and even if I was, the quality of the teams I get put up with would still be unsatisfactory. To anyone that can, I highly recommend duo queuing, at least you’ll have someone else to help you, rather than going by yourself and having to adjust to the haphazard way five different people play. Edit: Played more today, and after many headaches I am finally in Silver 1, lets see if I can keep being in this tier and go up from it. And to further illustrate how bad the teams are: I had a team of level 36+ (no one lower), lose against a team of players that were level 18~24. Got SVP in it. It was the most embarrassing display I’ve seen.

The first week after a reset is going to be a bad time except for the most skilled players. Wait a week unless you want to bash your head into a wall, as after a week the most dedicated and skilled players will be out of your matches so you can focus on climbing again. At that point you should be the menace in your matches as you climb back to your rank.

And yes I have spectated them to see WHY they won't play aggressive and 70% of the time it's not because of someone bullying the backline or anything, they just don't. And when there is someone on the backline it's cuz someone isn't doing their job correctly like sometimes you gotta question why ppl are playing ranked when they don't even have more than 10hrs in the game yet. To make matters worse when the team sucks it becomes impossible for me to do MY role correctly as well so we get destroyed.
