They use the KVA tier ranking letter "grades" because a lot of Kpop fans mistakenly think that any time someone assigns these tier levels that it's based on serious, scholarly and objective evaluation. It's not. For more than 10 years, nobody has been doing the kind of analysis and rigorous criteria application that the KVA tier rankings require for anything serious or "official". And even when the KVA project was active more than 10 years ago, most serious vocal experts found it interesting, but didn't take it seriously as a meaningful way to rank singers. Nowadays, it's clear that the "rankers" want to look more like experts by using the tier level "grades". But it's misleading because they're just expressing their own opinion, but using the tier levels to create the false impression that it's based on very rigorous, thorough analysis and evaluations conducted as scientifically as possible. Never the case at all.

They are improperly assigning tier level grades that were developed in the KVA project more than 10 years ago. They are not doing the analysis that the KVA project required for tier rankings (which required more than a hundred hours of performance evaluations for EACH artist...and even then was subject to many problems associated with the proper application of criteria as well as problems with performance selections). Nobody has been doing proper KVA rankings for over 10 years. Ranking videos in the past several years like to assign the KVA tier ranking letter "grades" anyway because gullible Kpop fans (who are obsessed with "official" rankings) mistakenly think that the tier rankings are objective, scientific and scholarly. They aren't...not by a long shot. At the technical level that Rami exhibits, along with the other top singers, the "ranking" comes down to preferences and subjective opinion. For people who prefer Rami's tone, lower register, modulations, etc., she's the best. For people who prefer the higher register of the other top singers, etc. they're the best. Kpop fans need to stop taking these kinds of "ranking" videos as being authoritative and official. They are not.

Belle differ from because how versatile she was, and her voice has something in it that can of western maybe her accent but I guess her delivery and style. She has good control of her voice and considering she is a producer and composer who really knows when and where to show her vocal in different level. and belle being an Alto and soprano at the same time. Belle definitely belongs in the group of singers at the top. Her voice is naturally higher than many others. But proper evaluations aren't based on who can sing the highest note the loudest and the longest (even though many Kpop fans seem to think so). There are so many other factors and low notes count as much as high notes, along with consistency, vocal tone/color, personality in singing and so on. The tier rankings in this video are not appropriate because they are borrowed from the KVA system...and nobody has really been doing legitimate KVA analyses for more than 10 years (after the real KVA project stopped).

Many Kpop fans seem to misunderstand what "vocal range" means. It does not mean who can hit the highest notes, with the most support. That's one side of the range...but only one side. Range means, literally, a range from low to high. Belle has a naturally high voice, so she can hit higher notes in some aspects (but not whistle and falsetto). But Rami's range is greater from her lowest supported note to her highest supported note. Nobody ranked at the top in this video can even come close to duplicating Rami's lower register ability. So it's a matter of preference and subjectivity. The tier letter grades (C+ etc.) are nonsense because no KVA evaluation has been properly done for any of the singers. Ranking videos just use the KVA tier letter grades because they want people to think that there has been a really detailed, scholarly and objective evaluation, like the original KVA project tried to do more than 10 years ago. But in reality, nobody these days is even trying to do KVA-type evaluations (which require evaluations of more than a hundred hours of performances for EACH singer, with correct application of the criteria). These rankings are just the uploader's opinion, but may be somewhat good as a general outline or approximation of the opinions of many people.
