*fyi I'm gonna be mentioning depression* I found you guys in November of 2021, a time when I suffered severe depression. Your intelligent wit put a smile on my face on good days, and your great storytelling helped me sleep on bad days. So I wanted to say, thank you ❤️ You all deserve the best! Happy anniversary 🎉

@@malikapollard3618 can't say i have much familiarity with wealth but that's where bata readers will help =) the big difference between the wealthy and the not is the mentality they have about taking any sort of action. the poor always consider the cost of everything, the wealthy would not. and even if they had to, how they would hold themselves in that choice would be the key. good luck!

Congrats on two years!!🎉 I've been listening and lurking since Savior's Champion because I needed someone to not have a great time reading it like I did. Y'all were free therapy. Sorry I missed this, life and my health generally have been hectic. I want to chime in that this channel has rapidly become a comfort channel for me as well. I appreciate that it feels like a book club. It feels like a community that talks about good books and bad books and everything in between. It isn't scripted, it's just friends talking. I know playing one of your videos when I am having a pain flare up or my mental health is rough that it's going to be a fun time. It's why I joined your patreon and why I'm superchatting this comment 😊

Your break down help me find the gems in otherwise broken books and helps me watch out for pitfalls and traps. Which I think helps me way more then binge watching fifty trope videos. Thank you keep up the good work hopefully one day you will review one of my books as a palette cleanser for all the bad books.

Late to the party but I found you guys when I was looking for a proper breakdown for the Kushiel books. You were the only result that came up over about 20 minutes long (I knew a short one wasn't going to do it justice). New-ish subscriber story time: I read 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle and was dying to talk to someone about it but book club wasn’t for another three weeks. Naturally, I tapped my way through Goodreads reviews and needed more. Then KZbin brought me to Textual Tension. Satisfaction! As I am fluent in sarcasm, biblio-speak, and debate…I felt at home among the TT trio. Then I was influenced to tear through Lore and Murder Hogwarts…er, I mean…A Deadly Education. And obvs had to listen to your ruthless discussions immediately following each read. Now I have so many books added to the TBR pile. I really enjoy this channel. Thanks, y’all. 🎉

I came here through the ACOTAR books, because I wanted to know if SJM books got any better after Throne of Glass (they don't, unfortunately). I'm not the greatest fan of podcast as a format (most are just boooring after three episodes), but I like this one a lot, specially how y'all bounce off of each other and have really interesting takes that I would never think with my lil brain. It's like being a friend group of highly intelligent and funny people. I just am hearing you converse. Also, wanted to tell you guys that I found my favourite story through you guys. Sabriel. And guess what! That's also one of the favourites of my girlfriend! Though till date the best video and the most emotional I got was on Hyperion Priest's tale and the Scholar's tale. Sometimes i rewatch stuff just to make the dreaded daily cooking bearable. And i appreciate that you give actual critique and try to figure out why some things work and why not. 18:12 - 18:30 --> If it makes you feel any better, I'm in the minority that found you guys from your positive reviews! 🥰The "Nona" episode specifically (And yes, William, you should be very proud of your thumbnail game because the hands-on-cheeks Maria with "FEELS" on the side is 100% why I clicked immediately. Impeccable work Good Sir!). So then of course I watched the "Harrow" episode. And then the Lindsay Ellis and Dune ones ... I think? I think the first negative-ish one I came across from you guys was "The Poppy War" episode and despite feeling very differently about that book (well, it's more like I think the trilogy as a whole is a lot more than the sum of its parts and that it uses so many of the weaknesses of the first book in really clever ways in the sequels and the whole of Fang Runin's arc is actually quite incredible and ........................ anyways!) I still really appreciated your critique. That was like, my litmus test to know that even when I disagreed, I could still rest easy knowing that I'm never dealing with bad faith bs for the sake of roasting. You'll bring your points and you'll back them up and you'll explain them (which is super valuable for me!) and be effortlessly funny while you're at it! I love it here. ☺

I'm a recent subscriber and I've been enjoying binging your videos tbh. Haven't added another BookTube channel to my list in a while, but I really like the ways you discuss books and the synergy between you guys as bookworm friends, really makes me want to do collaborative content myself with a friend or two of mine. It's also just always interesting to see how other people interpret the books I've enjoyed (or not). Like I really didn't vibe with Piranesi myself, for instance, but it was fascinating to see what you enjoyed about it and all the meaning you got out of it! And then yeah the roasting vids are just really enjoyable to chill to while playing a video game or drawing. :) Also damn, sorry you guys got so much hate on the Iron Widow video. :/ Honestly your complaints expressed a lot of issues I've had with books that market themselves as 'feminist' (when they're clearly not lmao) to be trendy/sell a lot. When I get snarky/rude comments it's because I've triggered litbros for not liking one of their darlings/classics, but I guess it can just come from any side, sadly... :( NB: also the fact Maria is a fellow LeGuin stan is a big selling point for me lmao. And the fact you guys loved Annihilation, given The Southern Reach is my favourite SF series of all time (I'll defo go check your videos on it, though I'm still happy with my own single person review of the trilogy ha). Same with Hyperion, a top 10 favourite for me in terms of science-fiction. 😄
