I honestly found the final Bowser boss fight for DS kind of disturbing, because his bones gets put into the cauldron only to revive him like a sci-fi horror movie. Also, he has both of his powers when he was alive and when he was dead while being bigger than he was before

Just recently found this channel and its been so much fun! I am the kind of guy who loves rankings. Hope your channel explodes soon. Btw i love the Bowser fight in New Super Mario Bros Wii. My young self was so shocked when Bowser returned, the epic music started and i had to run away. It was such an epic battle that i still remember it to this day.

I honestly think the ds was best. When it first came out, Bowser sinks into lava, and a skeleton shows up. Then you have no idea the skeleton is going to be the final boss.

Kinda interested actually for where would Mario Run be on the list if it counted, it's probably better than Ds because it utilized mobile devices capabilities while also sticking true to the original game, but a lot of people are not fans of the controls so I might be wrong though.

With the exception of New super Mario Bros Wii, I'd say Mario Run's fight is better than all of the NSMB games

I would personally rank Super Mario World over Super Mario Wii simply because there are a couple of levels that are amazing platforming challenges and gave me so much more of a hard time than the bosses "platforming gauntlet!" Super Mario Wii was very anticlimactic with the switch at the end and that ruined it for me, plus the fact that it gives you power ups so you are nearly guaranteed to have a helicopter suit for the last area. Super Mario World has 3 phases of an actual "battle" with strategies and planning needed to finally "settle the score" and help Princess Toadstool (she isn't known as Peach until Mario 64) escape. You aren't given more than a mushroom power up if you mess up and lose your power ups, and you only get 2 of them. You can tell some creative people definitely worked on that classic game.

My list: 8: Super Mario Bros Yeah I know it's the first fight ever, but come on, this one lasts so short 7: Lost Levels Exact same thing 6: New Super Mario Bros DS It's a decent fight, but just like the last 2 fights, you just run under Bowser, although with Bowser Jr, there's a little more going on 5: Super Mario Bros 3 A pretty fun one despite being not the hardest or easiest one 4: Super Mario World Again, pretty fun, despite not being the hardest or easiest one 3: New Super Mario Bros 2 I think this fight is pretty underrated, it's fun just avoiding Bowser and it's pretty intense 2: New Super Mario Bros U Another amazing one that feels very intense and really fun 1: New Super Mario Bros Wii Easily the best 2D fight by far, even though it's not a fight, it's still very unique how there's a level and you need to have Bowser destroy some stuff in the way, it's so unique it deserves #1
