Agreed! I'm in my early 20s and first saw it when I was about 10. One of the funniest episodes I've seen. I also love Goodies In The Nick, I feel that one is underrated.

56:10 Technically that's not true. Yes the original master tape was wiped and for a while all that existed was a black and white telerecording. However in the mid 90s a 2 inch quad videotape copy turned up, however it was recorded on a low band tape intended for black and white recordings so not all the colours were captured properly and the colours that were captured were very weak, so when the DVD came out the surviving colours were boosted. The tape was made for training purposes, and it's not the only TV episode to be preserved this way. An episode of Top of the Pops was on the same tape as well as Episode 6 of the Doctor Who story The Time Monster (The Time Monster also survived as an NTSC copy made using early standards conversion, so on the DVD they combined the colour signal from the NTSC tape with the low band PAL tape). With the 2 Goodies episodes that survive only in black and white, they could have used the Chroma Dot colour recovery method (Caught in the Act still seems to have it's chroma information even on the DVD version, it's that cross hatch pattern on the picture), and the method was used to restore the colour to an episode of Dad's Army as well as to many episodes of Doctor Who from the Jon Pertwee era that only survived in black and white. My only guess as to why they didn't bother is because of the cost and the fact The Goodies is more niche then something like Doctor Who.

Well I said corny, and cheesy. Which are part of the reasons I like the show so much. It's got this feel of three guys being given a budget to make whatever they went, kinda like a home movie. And the charm of those 70s physical effects usually make the jokes funnier to me, 'cause I can always see how much effort they put in, usually for such a silly punchline.

Unfortunately copyright doesn't allow for episodes to be reuploaded. I remember there were many clips of the show I watched on youtube a decade ago that eventually got taken down. Odd considering it's a 50 year old show the BBC never re-runs.

Why do people make videos about other visor television productions, and continually make the same observations - usually that of disaffection, in this case there is a repetition of ‘boredom’. Why should I watch it if he thought it tedious or boring? Where does the commentator’s strange mix of Australian U.S or Canadian American English come from? When I visited Australia, I was constantly told I had an ‘English’ accent - a tautology which I found irritating, given that I am English - when I speak French, I most likely do have a English accent. I also noticed recently that Australians have ‘regressed forward’ 300 years backwards regarding English usage, by using the U.S. idiom ‘gotten’ and the pronunciation of the word route (as in direction or in IT reference), as root. No doubt they will soon be emulating the U.S. habit of using the pronunciation of ‘I’ in words as ‘eye’, e.g, anteye whatever, ureyenal. Ironically, despite the show being shown on Australian TV way more than Britain, I don't think there's a region 4 release of the complete BBC run, but the other DVDs from the 2000s (the "At Last" DVDs) that compile mostly the most fan loved episodes (and season 9) apparently had Australian releases too, so you could still own 31 episodes if you looked enough. The ads are a great way to just throw in an extra unrelated gag or two, but when they're forced to revolve around the main theme of the episode (such as the police episode) then they end up feeling a bit restricted.
