Magnifying Grass uses sun and doesn't produce it, which is one trait of all Enlighten-Mint plants. Maybe she's Fila-Mint because she's unlocked in the Far Future where machinery is plentiful?

For some reason I feel like Magnifying glass gets underestimated way too much, sure it only attacks one zombie, but this thing has the power to two shot bucket heads and one shot coneheads at a low level, and people dont seem to understand that in many levels or even in arena or penny's pursuit, you'll have a TON of excess sun in the midgame of each level (unless you dont know how to farm sun) you can get up to 3000 excess sun and you can use it on the magnifying glasses to just spam and clear the whole board, and you can also pair it with winter melon or electric pea (basically any splash plant) to kill the weaker zombies and use your magnifying glass to kill the stronger ones, and as far as I know, this things only weakness are excavator zombies, it can annilhate everything if you just go greedy and plant a ton of sun producers

Exactly. Magnifying Grass is what got me through most of Jurrasic Marsh and some of Big Wave beach in my current playthrough. Tip for a Magnifying Grass unstrategical strategy, just spam sun producers in front of the Magnifying Grasses to act as meat shields. Also if Magnifying Grass doesn't get you through a level just switch to something different and you should win.

Electric Currant's plant food power is actually pretty good. It gives a permanent upgrade to the effectiveness of it's attack, which only a few other plants have. With the damage increase, it now has enough power to do 400 damage to a zombie with basic speed. When paired with other attackers, almost any zombie gets killed before they cross the first electric fence. Also another strength it has is the fact that it can do more damage than spikerock, with the same cost efficiency as spikeweed. The damaging tiles in between two nodes are also immune to being destroyed by rolling zombies or gargantuars, provided you can protect the tiles with the electric currants on them.

Because of recharge slowly , increasing sun cost depend on the number of tomato on board. If EA could make his attacking faster, reduce about 1/2 dps and delete the increasing sun cost ,I think he would have a higher rank.

My Tier List: E.M. Peach 11th It’s really only used in one world. It’s an okay plant at best, I’ve never used this one that much though. After completing Far Future there’s really no use to it. Electric Currant 10th It needs 2 of itself to work, the network damage is okay, but I’ve never really used this because it’s kind of bad. The power line can easily be interrupted as well. It’s good with stalling plants. ElectriciTea 9th It has such bad damage but good eaten damage. It’s like an insta but not insta use?? It’s plant food is okay. Electric Blueberry 8th 4.99$ for a plant that rarely targets gargantuars, has a long cooldown, and long storm-cloud producing cooldown. It’s really strong though, good if the last zombie is a gargantuar- it insta kills them. Magnifying Grass 7th Takes up ur sun really quick especially in hoards. Has really good damage and can kill a gargantuar in a few hits though. It also has the frozen vine infinite plant food bug. Power Vine 6th Like Electric Currant it needs a power line to work, except the power line make its way better. By itself it’s okay. It’s special can disable like E.M. peach. It’s basically just a combination of EM-Peach, Electric Currant and a vine-obviously. Lightning Reed 5th Amazing at countering chickens weasels and stuff, and really good damage when it’s in a whole squad of them. It’s low damage though. Citron 4th It has amazing damage and can easily wipe a lane with its plant food, and disables machines. Electric Peashooter 3 It’s a piercing 3 lane wiping pea, good damage, good on graves, plant food is okay. Ultomato 2 Has amazing damage in its final stage, heck, even first stage. Good special ability but really expensive. Fila Mint 1 Weak electric strike but good once leveled up obviously. Boosts everything

My fila-mint family tier list which is 100% facts: 11. E.M.Peach: it's good for the world you unlock it in (Far Future) but outside of that it isn't really useful 10. Electrici-tea: it's not bad but it has to be eaten to be useful and there's some zombies that don't eat ex: Gargs, widards etc. 9. Lightning Reed: it's weak and it's plant food is a worse version of the electric blueberries plant food and only good when spammed but even then most plants are good when spammed and can do a better job than it 8. Electric Currant: it's good with garlic but by itself it isn't the best and it's plant food is mediocre at best 7. Electric Blueberry: pretty solid but you have to pay for it and the way it works by targeting the stronger zombies isn't the best but it can one-shot gargs 6. Ultomato: it's good and when you plant it on top of each other it gets more powerful but it's way too expensive at level 1 and it costs more and more sun the more there are on the lawn like tile turnip 5. Power Vine: power vine isn't good on its own but when spammed its a good plant because you can get the network going and it's plant food is a better E.M.Peach and it shoots 3 volleys of lightning 4. Fila-mint: at level 1 it can't even kill a zombie but once leveled up it's pretty good and it can buff other fila-mint family plants so this is the lowest it can go 3. Citron: good damage and a good plant food that can knock an entire lane of zombies out if there isn't a big zombie like a garg or a mech 2. Electric Peashooter: it's good but you have to buy it so Im gonna have to put it at 2nd 1. Magnifying Grass: its really powerful and if you pair it with shine vine then you can get it to fire randomly without using up your sun and it can kill gargs easily at level 1 or when leveled up

My list( Only plants I have) 3- E.M peach: Only usable in 1 world and it is pretty good in that world so it is kinda unfair rank it however I have to so 3rd place 2- Lightning reed: it exists. Use it if you want to, don't use it if you don't want to. Hopefully that will clear the argument about lightning reed 1- Magnifying grass. Use 50 sun to attack for 550 damage. Pretty good if you have enough sun producers Bonus: Laser bean. If I were to rank laser bean it would be either 2nd or maybe even 1st.

Electric Blueberry (Always targetting the wrong zombie) 6.Power vine(Weak damage) 5.Fila-mint(His special ability sucks) 4.Citron(Does heavy damage, I really wish he could deal splash damage) 3.Lighting reed(Personally, Lightning reed is so good, mine can zap infront and even zaps the zombies behind, so op and I understand why ducky tube gave it that spot❤, not to forget but it's my favorite filamint family plant) 2.Ultomato( Large amounts of sun, sweet potato or hot date. This guys works so well with them.😜) 1. Electric Peashooter (Could n't agree more.Works much more better than Laser Bean)

My list base on my experience and usage on them. 11. E.M peach (His only purpose is to stun robot zombies, not to fully disables them, and that's how almanac lies, also his a very bad recharge time, but his helmet costume is nice though) 10. Power vine (What! This plant is literally a trash vine, cuz it's normal damage is half of peashooter's damage/ ¼ damage of cabbage pult's damage, not to mention he seems to never boost fila mint plants which make him useless, pea vine and shine vine is much better) 9. Electrici tea ( Good pun, but ability is terrible, it's actually a worse explode o nut with large radius and very low damage, plus he must to be fully eaten, unlike explode o nut who just needs to be destroyed to activate its ability, In my opinion I don't recommend using him, instead use explode o nut) 8. Electric Blueberry (She is not the best fila mint plant, cuz she only targets zombies one by one, but one bad thing is that she always have high priority to target weaker zombies, not the dangerous ones like gargs, Octo zombie, or excavator zombie, caulipower is nicer than this absolute trash.) 7. Ultomato (Design is very meh, same for the ability, its plant food power is really bad, as it just selfs destructs, thus wasting your sun that you could just spend for prime nuts or coconut cannons, electric peashooter is cooler than this another piece of garbage) 6. Fila mint (He's like a lightning reed who deals less damage and doesn't target all the zombies in the whole board, which is quite disappointing, but his boost to his family is too overpowered, especially for lightning reed, citron, and electric pea) 5. Electric currant ( When soloing, he's like a electric garlic that is slightly worse on health, when connected, he's slightly more powerful, but losts its diversion ability, making it a disadvantage, his plant food is just almost the same as his normal state, with only difference is he deals slightly more damage than normal, but I recommend him but not too much because the next plants will beat this) 4. Magnifying grass (Her colorful bolt is very powerful, which is even better when leveled up, but because she needs suns to damage zombies, you gotta need a lot of sun shrooms or prime sunflowers, which would occupy more tiles, which means there's gonna be less of this planted on the lawn, also she's not good in endless zone, but anyways i highly recommended her on adventure mode) 3. Citron ( A very powerful plant that deals whopping 1000 dps per shot, and 4000 dps! Well his disadvantage is his reload time being slow, taking 7.5 secs, which makes fast zombies eat him before he fire a ball again, but sure you should always use this one) 2. Lightning Reed (My 2nd favorite electric plant, it may deal low damage, but his ability to deal a chain damage to zombies is purely powerful, as it can be used to kill weasels, chicken, and other weak zombies that is distracting your main attackers, it has a relatively good sun cost, recharge time and attack speed, it's also very deadly when upgraded to max lvl, making him a very useful choice at all scenarios) 1. Electric peashooter (He is very similar to lightning reed, except that he acts like a laser bean that has the same attack as of fume shroom, he's really destructive plant that has a really good synergy with slowing plants.)

ok but lightning reed is absolutely horrible against ice weasels. either i'm playing the game wrong or i'm dumb, maybe both also for magnifying grass, it's pretty easy to make an entire defence around her, just place a coloumn of magnifying grasses and spam an absolute buffet of sun producers from second to maybe fourth or fifth coloumns to act as weaker wall-nuts for the magnifying grasses all while producing insane amounts of sun for you. maybe even sun bean a few zombies for extra sun

Lightning reed does HALF the damage of a PEASHOOTER. It takes 4 shots to kill a SINGLE weasel. And you can't tell me that planting 4 lightning reeds is easier then planting to spike weeds. Yea its good if spammed but so is every plant if you think about it. Also it's plant food is a worse electric blueberry attack

Threepeater costs more(harder to spam), have many weaknesses(jesters, etc..) and can only attack three targets at once Electric peashooter is premium, will not attack zombies in other lane if there is no zombie in it's lane and it costs more

plant magnifying grass on pumpkin, the hunter zombie always throws snowball 3 times to make the plants frozen. when the zombie is throwing the 3rd snowball, give the plant food, there you have unlimited rainbow. it's all about timing. but it's pretty easy, i know u will make it!
