now i know you just redid this but for next time, here is one way you could do it. There are 5 aspects and 5 tiers. for each weapon put one in each tier. (basically ranking them from strongest to weakest) But then the interesting part is that within the tier you move them left or right. so beowolf would be top S and demeter would be lowest S. anyways loved the vid either way thanks!

27:38 Got some interesting lore from my childhood stories (I'm Indian) In Hindu myths, Rama had to win a contest to gain the Princess Sita's hand in marriage. The contest would be that whoever could even be strong enough to lift and string the bow would be victorious. Many other Princes tried and failed but Rama prayed to the Gods before trying and they gave him the strength to win the challenge. That's probably why it's so slow and powerful, because it's supposed to be a super heavy bow with a lot of strength behind it. I also love the Shared Suffering because its kind of like karma and that stuff also comes up in Hindu mythology a bunch, the Devs did a great job with the lore here 👏👏👏

I for one am glad that Rama was moved up since the last video. It's personally my favorite aspect due to the sheer dopamine rush provided by Big Number (TM) and that it allows me to handle both hordes and bosses with relative ease

I absolutely love Arthur for exactly the reasons why you seem to dislike it. The slow chonky attacks with huge wind ups make it feel so different to the other weapons. It's the only aspect that encourages you to play a tank and also the only sword aspect where you're not just dash striking everywhere like a cat with zoomies. Seeing massive damage numbers pop up for the final hit of your combo is super satisfying.

One thing that I don't know if it's ever mentioned, but you can sneak some movement with the Arthur combo. You can dash between each swing, it takes some practice but it enables you to get behind ads with those big swings, repositioning like that changes the game plays immensely.

After mentioning it in a different video, I finally got my 32 heat clear! I tried a bunch of different weapons (including 2 shields, 2 rails, and 1 fist). In the end, tried and true Eris rail won it for me. That rail truly is old reliable.

Talos is one of the aspects I have the most fun playing. Admittedly I don’t use it much as a cast aspect but ya get a couple decent boons on your special and attack and you can melt through enemies so quickly

My fav two are Achilles and Zeus shield. Achilles was the first I won with, and I think that getting flurry jab on Achilles is the easiest combo in the game. But once I started playing the game more, I started to realize that the damage stacking you can do with Zeus shield, along with being able to play both hyper offensive with two types of attacking, or defensively with the bull charge shield block, made it seemingly the best weapon in the game for me. So then I started using it the most. Then later found out that it was the weapon used for 64 heat lol. Guess I was on the money with my pick

My personal favorite aspect is the Hades Spear aspect. I love building it with Arty on the attack and just spamming spin-attacks with the hammer that makes them bigger and the one that makes them faster. It's definitely not as powerful as say the Achilles Spear aspect but I find it very fun.

I only started playing Hades for the first time this past week and my first clear of the game was thanks to Zag's fists' stacking evasion build that I realized I could just go for without reading any guide. I know it's very "low skill" to not have to learn any enemy patterns and still not get hit, but that weapon will forever hold a special place for me due to it being the first one that allowed me to clear the game. I also like how Talos' fists allow me to pull in enemies that try to avoid me, like longbows, spreaders, that sort of thing and get a bonus damage against them. Feels like it hard counters people trying to kill me from range.

Personal favorite for me is probably Rama or Gilgamesh, both are slow and clunky but as someone who grew up with the Ramayana as a bedtime story it being slow and clunky makes so much sense I love it. Gilgamesh is simply what could be amounted to Stockholm Syndrome. I’ve used it so much that I’ve started to really like it. #3 is Beowulf because shields are awesome and Beowulf is awesome. I don’t have every aspect unlocked or even maxed yet but my least favorite would probably be Lucifer, it feels like they undertuned it so much to the point where I don’t feel like I’m impacting much of anything without triple bomb.

Odd my personal highest heat is with Gilgamesh. Gloves are also my favorite weapon. I know a lot of people like Chiron but it never clicked with me. I don't like the spear and only used it to clear a couple of low heat runs for some quick titan blood.

I love your guide vids and I'm gonna put this one on all the way when I'm eating next. THAT SAID I peeked and was shocked, I say, shocked to see Zag Shield in D. In terms of how good it is for newer players, or for high heat, or just generally getting easy clears, it seems so much better. I'll admit it sucks in terms of uniqueness or maybe fun if you don't like bullying enemies with it, but I've seen a lot of new players realize just how much stuff they can block and get through enemies so much more easily. For new players Titans Blood is also in super short supply and that's where I think Zag Shield shines. An easy +3 base damage for 1 Titan blood goes a long way when they'll only get like 6 total before they get their first clear.

I didn't take Titan's Blood cost into consideration when ranking them since I think if I did it would push practically all of the Zag aspects up into the B range and Gilgamesh would get lonely in D. But I did point out that they are significantly cheaper at the start of the vid.

Im saying this as someone who replayed Hades very recently. Spending Titan Blood on Zag aspect is surprisingly a bait and kinda stupid. Im saying this as a huge fan of Zag Shield. - Raw builds are NOT as efficient as add build. Raw builds are balanced around several mechanics working in tandem with them that you dont have early game. Like boiling blood. Subjectively theyre also harder and less exciting arguably(dude look at Zeus builds its the coolest looking build in Hades). Ignoring raw lets you work your resource elsewhere - this is doubled by Shield. The king of add build in many ways than one - it slows down progression towards Hidden aspect and this can get annoying enough lol. Mind this is actually like 4 blood set back not 5(as you are forced to unlock zag) but its like thats 13 base damage Zeus or unlocks 80% of the full power of Eris that doubles into the previous point Zag shield is probably the most seemingly worth it aspect to blood pump if you strictly saw the raw boost value in isolation but between Shield being a god at add damage builds - that is also stronger in the first place, going into a Hidden Aspect that damn near made them irrelevant(Beo not only had 40 base - it have instant 50 bull rush. Other shield have to ramp the charge), mirror progression and honestly even at systemic level the power gap introduced by Zeus shield having a fire and forget disc combined makes them a bit eh. Maybe not D rank i agree(its probs closer to B rank. It and Chaos should be at the same spot because they do similarly doing Special Add build but Zag have a notch better Dash Attack(very important) and can get Double Claw

Zag shield aspect with the double-attack hammer is actually pretty sick. I was able to clear 45 heat with it, and the only other aspect I've managed to do that with is Rama with special spam cheese. You say "you have no reason to pick it over other aspects" but if you're going for an attack build (say if you get the double attack hammer in the first room), then it's just objectively better than the others. Don't oberlook this tiny boi!

It's interesting to me that you put the Aspect of Gilgamesh in D tier as it's one of my favorite weapons and it's the one I did 32 with. Although I have to admit that I used it mainly to abuse it's extra dashes paired with poseidon's dash. It just kills things fast and is reliable thanks to the waepon having extra dashes. But I still like the gameplay with the dash special attack and playing around that huge debuff + damage mark.

I gotta say, I feel like I'm missing out on the fun with Beowulf; I've seen and read plenty regarding how fantastic Beowulf is but not only am I miserably slow with it, but I don't have fun using it. Mind, I don't think I'm a bad player haha -- I've cleared 32 heat with every weapon, gotten sub nine minutes with every weapon, sub eight with a few -- but each time I try to use Beowulf it's the clunkiest, slowest run. Like I'm watching everyone blasting around on their bicycles and I'm standing next to mine, never learned how to ride it haha.

I think my favourite build is with Gilgamesh, running Ares attack, Athena dash and their duo boon, which automatically procs Doom if you hit with an Athena boon. From there, just hold the attack and dash buttons whenever you see anything and watch the claws flurry! Doom just keeps on stacking up and up. You can further improve the build with Poseidon special/call as get off me tools, then aim for his duo boon with Ares. Set your casts when you enter a room to passively pulse damage while you flurry claws everywhere. This is the build I used to get furthest under heat, I don’t remember if it was a 32 or not but it was either that or lower.

I have to disagree with Guan Yu. I tried probably about 15 times to clear 32 heat with different bow aspects. I cleared 32 heat first try with Guan Yu. With the right build, it's broken. And before you say "oh you need the right build," it's also the only weapon I've cleared a boonless run on. I love that aspect, it's IMO the best spear. Also, I feel like a lot of your criteria is based on whether or not a weapon is speed run viable. Most players aren't speed runners. That seems like a very niche criteria through which to rank a weapon. If the video was titled in such a way as to clarify that it's focused on speed runs and high heat, as opposed to say clear percentage and build diversity, that would probably go a long way towards creating agreeability with this list.

I basically agree with this whole list, huh. Not sure if Talos is quite that bad. Rama is my favorite aspect. I like to play it kind of like a melee weapon and just not even try for power shots--it doesn't really feel particularly slow like that, and it works great with hammers like explosive shot. It's better at group damage than Chiron. I do play with mouse+keyboard though, which possibly makes it easier to handle than on a controller? Not arguing with the placements though; Chiron definitely has it beat on single target damage.

I play on controller + rebinding dash to a trigger has changed spear for me. Canceling the charge up into a dash lets you use the spin attack + move at the same time, making it soooo much more useful to me than before.

Just started playing Hades, and aspect of Zagreus was the first thing I maxed out, and I loved it. The shield was the arms I had for my first completion, and maxed out Zagreus was the one had for my 2 and 3rd runs. I get what he's saying, but as a new player, I think the aspect of Zagreus deserves a higher rating. The damage difference was very noticeable when combined with Sea storm. By itself that doesn't make it top-tier or anything, but when you combine it with the safe play and AOE of the shield, it combines into a very nice package for a beginner.

Im getting back to playing hades and am getting some runs in with a couple of different aspects at 1-5 heat while collecting titan blood. For now, i've had the most fun with a poseidon cast build and with the chaos shield. I've felt frustrated with chiron though, feels strong enough but I have issues with highly crowded rooms and in styx since I feel the aspect specializes in single target damage. Obviously not fully upgraded aspects yet, just saying what has been fun and what hasnt for me.

Guan Yu is fun, but otherwise I haven't played with the spear that much overall, as I change weapons frequently according to what has the increased darkness earnings. Somehow I'm more likely to get shield or fists than the others. Six runs yesterday, one gun, one bow, two fists and two shields.

Personally, aspect of Lucifer is eighter a S tier or C tier depending on things you get. Because atack is very fast but low on damage efects such as hangover or chill are far better then with any other weapon, Artemis' boon is also better since it can crit more times then other weapons, while I never found knockback or deflect usefull with it. However the main deal is the special. Athena's boon makes areas of bullet deflection. Ares's boon can inflict doom easily multiple times. Actually everything exept Zeus'es boon makes special amazing (thunder will imidietly explode the mine)

honestly i think ares makes the most sense for chiron if you get the right boons, i once did a run where i got doom on special + doom stacking + longer doom wait time, which can give you upwards of 1000 damage per doom stack. it's a very luck dependent setup, but if you can get it, it'll shred through bosses and it feels great lmao

I'm pretty sure you can do it much faster with nemesis sword, just get used to special+dash attack+dash attack and repeat. and yet again, with %bonus boons on attack and crits, it's gonna melt bosses even faster

I honestly think you're undervaluing Zag aspect for Stygius. You're correct about the others all being much better, but it's far from a D-tier weapon; The additional attack and move speed actually make it the best choice when using Cursed Slash and/or Frost Strike, and if you can tack on Flurry or Swift Attack on top of that you get a highly mobile and honestly pretty brain-dead DPS monster, at least for new players. I just wish the Thunderbolt cooldown wasn't a thing, otherwise Thunder Flourish on Chiron would probably be my absolute favorite build.

Rama got me my first and only sub-9m run and my first and only 50 heat run - charging the attack is slow but the satisfaction of seeing several enemies crumble in one attack is immense. The only other build that I find myself doing that with is Beowulf.

Spin to win hades aspect spear is my fave especially paired eith fast spin and larger spin area aspects. It falls off in effectiveness in parts of elysium but its just so satisfying to me. Guan yu frankly feels like a noob trap if daedalus hammer doesnt work with you as the spin attack takes way yo long to come out and if you take damage during that time (and likely start panicking) it can be hard to get back in the zone and recover (eslecially against bosses).

The zag aspects get no love, which is a shame because a blank canvas can often be more inspiring to a build than one with defined edges. I especially enjoy zag shield for how quickly I can dash into a combo, retreat, go again, etc... and zag spear with Zeus on special melts bosses!

Hades Spear is a lot of fun if you go down a Poseidon/Zeus duo build. Get Quick Spin and Massive Spin hammers if you can, then push for Jolted and Ruptured for Privileged Status and try to get as many extra damage boons as possible. With some luck, once you enter a room and pull off one sweep, everything will crash into a wall and anything that survives will get repeatedly zapped by Zeus. It's not the most powerful build or the quickest and it struggles with dealing high single target damage, especially against bosses, but god is it fun.

I know it’s not fast and the only option for killing stuff is the attack, but the movement is actually pretty interesting with Arthur since you can dodge between each attack without interrupting the combo. Call me crazy, but I like using ruthless reflex with it because of the unique movement, and the dodge chance is more conducive to the face-tanking I like to do with the weapon. That said, it’s the only aspect in the game that really supports a face-tank build. With the right build you can turn 60 damage into 10. Again, call me crazy but I like using abyssal blood for this playstyle specifically. Add plenty of max health and you’ll be unstoppable. Arthur opens up a completely unique playstyle that can’t be found anywhere else in the game. It may not be a particularly fast or effective playstyle, but its uniqueness has to count for something.

Back when I did my heat 32 run for the statue, I kept trying to run Rama Zeus spec, Hera trippy flare with hammer and Achilles hunting blade type builds before finally going to Beowolf. I always knew how strong it was but the number one important thing for high heat that Beowulf does over other high dps hammers is the insane defence. On my first lvl 32 attempt with it, I cleared it first try perfect hades kill with just trippy flare, not a lot of the extra boons and terrible useless hammers that I picked by force. Just the best defensive aspect along with being arguably the best offensive aspect. Zag bow is the most fun to use imo, it’s not great but the most I’ve enjoyed using a bow in a video game. Found Chiron and Chaos just extremely boring

Ok but what if I hate Eris Rail because you need to stand in blast to activate it? It goes completely against my safe playstyle of bombarding my enemies from mid range, especially since standing right next to enemies with all those effects bursting on your screen is a terrible idea in general. I'm not a pro in game (and don't really want to be, I don't like gameplay that much), but I just feel like my playstyle was just invalidated.

I feel like Zag Rail was treated way too harshly. It may be a bad Rail, but it's still a Rail, and Rail is quite strong in general. It might not be better than no aspect, but it's also not worse. It certainly doesnt deserve to be below Gilgamesh

As a guy who managed to beat 32 heat and a lot of hours on hades i actually very agree with almost all of these placements, the only things that i would change is: aspect of zeus S tier, Rama S tier, arthur B tier and hera A.

I agree with most of this but I kinda have to make an argument for Zag Shield and Zag Bow, which I would put in high C and mid-B respectively. I'll admit they're not as good as the other 3 aspects of their weapon, but I have fun playing them whenever I don't want to bother with the gimmicks of the better aspects. They feel versatile and while they're rarely OP, they work with a variety of builds (hammers and boons both). The bonuses at max level are not crazy strong but they do the job and you don't feel like you just wasted 5 titan blood (ahem, Zag rail and Zag sword anyone?). Also I would put Lucifer in D solely because I don't like it (even if it's not that bad objectively).

I'm a fairly new player and haven't done any high heat, so I'm not going to pretend my opinion really matters, but for what it's worth, I find Aspect of Talos to be by far the most fun fist aspect. The pull is fun, and I usually find that when I'm playing it, I spend most of the time in one spot just using Special. I always try to get Quake Cutter with it though

I never understood the love for Chiron. I think it looks flashier than Rama, but in my mind Rama does the 1-2 combo just better than Chiron. With a good multihit special boon(Zeus or dyo) on Rama you can sometimes just spam the special for killing a bunch of small enemies. But it still has the great single target by 1-2 comboing with a gigantic attack. Idk Rama was my first 32 heat so maybe I have a blind spot for it

So I've played Hades for abit now and the only thing about this vid I don't fully agree on is your thoughts on theagmet cutter on the fists. Yeah it has a basic move set and it may not be as powerful in flat damage as others but if you can combo it with both hangover damage and make enemies take more damage vs being (and damage on consecutive hits) can bring out some op damage

Arthur Aspect isn't that bad but since is kind for a tanky build, it only serves with some specific boons that gives high damage bonus to compensate the worst of the weapon that are his slow yet powerful swings of Excalibur, I have to try Achilles spear or Nemesis blade and see what can be done with them

One thing I myself learned about the tier lists, and this is no dig at Haelian, is that the "fun to play" element is more important than anything. At my stage in the game (200 hours in, nearly 100% complete), everything is viable because of my skill level. For example, the previous tier list ranked Poseidon pretty high so I used that a lot when I first started. Turns out, I find sword specials really boring (except for Arthur, which I like for the same reason Haelian doesn't funny enough). Lucifer is also terrible but it can be kind of hilarious to use, such as the super soaker. I love how well balanced this game really is because nearly everything is viable up to 32 heat if you have the skill. Though, undeniably Eris rail is the most strong thing ever with the right hammers, it can get boring building the same aspect for 20-30 hours straight.

agree, some juicy attack boon (Aphrodite for me) and crit over it, that's spicy. Just like a baby Hestia also Chaos on attack and rush delivery to make really big chunks

I always find it funny that you describe Zeus as a hard aspect to use since I - a very poor Hades player - can only beat 32 heat using Zeus. It's great for us cowards who just run away from enemies, since you can call it back, and it follows at the same rate most of the bosses walk.

Man try out spec focused zeus/Poseidon builds for rama. It is among the fastest and most destructive weapon to use even without optimising with the challenging attack options. Rama spec builds are also the hands down the easiest build to play. Easy S tier.

By no means am I an expert, but you are vastly underestimating Gilgimesh. If you combine it with Ares special and Athena/Artemis boons you can have a special focused build where you hit enemies with Main + Doom then dash and do it again to another pack of enemies (especially if they clump together) and rooms just melt in seconds. The bonus damage that Maim gives you applies to Doom, and if you get Impending Doom and Battle Rage, your ticks of damage become insane. Combining it with a Demeter or Dio build makes damage stack up like crazy. For bosses you can use hit and run tactics(Special Maim Doom) and then bounce around while they die in a matter of seconds. It's actually a war crime to place it that low on the list, just because your horrified of the drawback with can be largely mitigated with healing hammers and healing boons.

The first time I realized that Gilgamesh dash strike did such trash damage it dropped like two tiers for me OTOH for Rama, realizing that you can deal Shared Suffering to other enemies even if the one you hit hasn't taken a special, popped it up a tier

Zagshield is decently strong, shield is just a strong weapon for high heat in general and because chaos special isn't actually that good the extra damage zagshield has makes it better for heat and even speed to a lesser extent. I will admit that cshot is a huge part of it, though. Also zagspear has a sub 5:30 clear (although it's one of the few aspects that I would say has an OBJECTIVELY better alternative, because special on non-guan yu spear is just not super strong and achiles does zagspear's optimal build better). Fun included, though, zag aspects are kinda lame.
