I would cry if I didn’t have access to a Target 😭, much less an ULTA or Sephora! Come back & visit sometime, I can pretty much guarantee that nothing has changed 🤣! (Actually, depending on when you moved; one thing may be different. We can buy alcohol on Sunday’s now😱! I know..scandalous right, lol. Of course, it has to be 12 noon or after b/f you can purchase & stores must selling @ 8:00PM. There’s always a catch🤷🏼‍♀️)! Sara Gaiser Oohhh you sweet, innocent thing!!! If Mayor Brainard puts in many more roundabouts, the Carmel population are all going to pass away driving round & round & round🤦🏼‍♀️ There are roundabouts that have STOP LIGHTS as well! It already had a stop light, now it has both! But as long as he’s in charge & foreign dignitaries continue to give him awards for "reducing emissions"...we are stuck with them😭! My husband was waiting for a cyclist to cross in front of him @ Hazel Dell & Main (131st is Main St. now) near our home this past Monday ; & a female coming from the opposite direction was paying no attention, didn’t even slow down & (luckily) hit his back tire & sent him flying!! She proceeded to keep driving😱! If she had been one second earlier, she would have crushed his leg. Carmel roads have formed their own IMS!! 🤣. I can’t believe that home prices & taxes are so bad there! I hate that for you. You wouldn’t recognize Fishers, they have done a LOT of work & has become an adults playground of sorts. Kristen Leanne just did a video where she follows along and replicated what Kristi did and I think you should do that too! Loved this video! My top 2 foundations for 2019 were the L’Oréal Infallible 24 hour foundation and the Nars long wear foundation. I know the Nars foundation wasn’t new in 2019, but it was new to me. I bought these off recommendations from you & Taylor Wynn. So thank you! 🥰🥰

This was really helpful Sam! Thank you so much. Some of your top 10 are mine too. Like you, I have dry/dehydrated skin and prefer light to medium coverage satin and radiant finish foundations. Will have to try the Pur and Shiseido ones. Have you tried the NYX Born to Glow? Super under-rated and affordable. It also launched in 2019, but flew under the radar. It is a dead-on dupe for the ABH Luminous foundation.

OMG so it's not just me! I am so in LOVE with that Pat McGrath foundation. It is my first true luxury purchase (bought during the holiday sale) and I will have to just save up to keep buying it because I like it that much. I also have the Fenty Hydrating and UD Stay Naked, which I like. But I swear, mixing the Pat McGrath into anything makes that product so much better!

Foundation is one area that I don’t try a lot, most likely because my skin is so finicky. I sometimes get samples from Sephora, but I just stick with my dior matte. It works well with my skin.

I use to be a big fan of testing out foundation, and I tried that Rimmel one. I've got Oily/Combination skin and my god... it looks like a mask. I mean that stuff is just not even possible to wear it without it looking like a caked mess.

Actually, use very little and use a small buffing brush. It can look really natural and it's really great for covering acne and birthmarks... xXx

I bought the Shishedo foundation and guessed my shade online and went with 220 Linen. I have NEVER had such a shade that matches my skin color and tone. (I’m light-to-medium with a cool/neutral undertone) I have been super impressed with it. The 30 SPF in it is a bonus. I love it. I think I’m done looking!

Pamela Hewlett I would recommend getting a sample of this one. I bought it and completely regret it. I have dry skin. I like light to medium coverage. This did not look good on me. I found it did not look as natural as I would like and it separated strangely. I was so excited to try and and ended up throwing it out.

Interesting to learn I own & use five of your top nine, and I’m quite mature (and while difficult for me to admit, though mature, I actually have pretty decent looking skin. Just the luck of the draw). I found your comments cogent & thoughtful; sensitive to everybody’s sensibilities. Foundations are intensely personal, given skin types & tones, finish preferences, and of course pocket books. If you haven’t tried the Lancôme Renergie Lift foundation-YOU NEED TO!!!!! I just got samples and am in love. The way you describe what you like in a foundation, it sounds like you’d like it. They just reformulated it (has a little bit more sunscreen and other skin care ingredients they say).

Thanks Sam! We are EXACT same in terms of foundation shades, so I always try to pay attention to what works for you and what doesn't.. we are skin sisters! And I have to THANK YOU-- I had basically allowed my Sublime/ PML foundation to get pushed to the back-- but when you used it while testing the Tati Blendiful-- it made me re-think..- I was SOOO happy to rediscover this amazing foundation! @@SamanthaMarchxo They discontinued the Physicians Formula healthy line including the foundation, powder and lippies which was completely stupid of them. The foundation they came out with to replace the Healthy one is light coverage which I hate because I loved the Healthy Foundation and its medium coverage and natural finish. I will buy it on the website for $6.99 to stock up I guess or Amazon.

*Hi Samantha, if you are having a hard time keeping your skin hydrated, there’s something you should try. It’s the Aveeno Baby Eczema Therapy Moisturizing Cream. It’s really good for the body. Also, for the face, Josie Maran Divine Drip Sleeping Nectar is a really amazing moisturizer that not only soothes and moisturizer but it has manuka honey which is a wonderful humectant and has healing properties, too. (There’s a Divine Drip Honey Butter Balm for body, too!)*

My top foundations are the Pur, Dior, and the Shiseido, not necessarily in that order. Just what I'm in the mood for 😁 I prefer a matte look. I also use E.L. Double Wear and the new Smashbox when my makeup absolutely has to last all day. I don't set those. ❤

The only stick foundation I have ever liked is the Ulta Beauty Moisturizing Foundation Stick and it is a holy grail for me. I definitely have to set my face when I use it but it does not accentuate my dry patches and it glides on the skin very easy. No tugging or pulling.

I'm honestly shocked that the Rimmel foundation was last on your list 😅 I have such dry skin (especially because it's so cold/dry here in PA), and this is the ONLY foundation out of the 2 dozen I've tried that doesn't cling to the dry patches on my forehead! I tried it on a whim because they didn't have the Rimmel BB cream in stock. I was blown away because it says it's a matte foundation and I usually go with satin or dewy. I didn't think it was that full coverage either. anyway, I'm really glad you at least mentioned it. I rarely see anyone try it for some reason 🤣

I h ave found my skins works better with less expensive foundations. My favorites are Milani Conceal and Perfect, Wet n Wild Photo Focus stick foundation and the new Wet n Wild Photo Focus Dewy foundation.

Also, bought the Shiseido off of your recommendation, absolutely love it. Replaced my holy grail (Giorgio Armani luminous silk) and since they don’t carry it in stores at Sephora had to ballpark the color and you mentioning the shade you wear helped a lot, got 250 sand and spot on shade match. So thank you 😊🤗

I got the Shishido foundation to review threw influenster I love it! Even though I got a pretty dark shade it still just becomes muy skin. Just bought the wander foundation as an ipsy add on for $ 13 I am excited to try it.
