Odyssey is so underrated. The game is beautiful and it’s so big and there’s so much to do. Plus people can choose how they want to play. Stealth killing everyone in a fortress is significantly easier than just fighting.

As for the faction system, it is literally just cause trouble in a region and start a 300 battle and viola, the opposite army controls the area, yes some things are influenced by your choices but again, it’s not every thing. The game may check all the boxes of a standard rpg, but it isn’t anything revolutionary. And let’s not forget that the game goes against so much of ac canon like other games before it, the insane grinding, shallow parkour, lack of social stealth, damage sponge enemies, lackluster modern day, and so much more. All in all, the game is definitely far from the worst game ever, but there are plenty of subjective, yet valid criticisms that SHOULD be pointed out.

Ac 1 is a good game, but it really is stale and repetitive to modern day, Is really just the same missions in the same cycle for 15 hours. The story is good, but Altair's character is just boring, and that is especially true when you compare to ezio. Altair is a master who because of his blinded rage gets his titles stripped and has to work it up from the beginning. In AC 2 we follow ezio from birth to a young man where, the player can get attached more easily. Story in AC 2 is miles ahead of the first game, and the parkour is more fast paced rather than Altair climbing deficiency.
