I still hope ansu gets going again. He was scoring goals not just in laliga, he was scoring alone away at SAN SIRO in ucl. This guy stole spotlight FROM messi in start of 20/21 season b4 his injury. He was such a goal machine. Now fans have same hopes with lamine, and club will also run lamine/gavi/pedri into ground like ansu. It is not a coincidence that some of our most talented players are injury ridden. Fans will turn on lamine if (i hope it doesnt happen) gets injured.

Balde was great because of the players he played with. In the pre-season, he was great playing behind Ansu and that’s thanks to that La Masía chemistry. They knew each other well and could work their play-styles together. Felix, on the other hand, doesn’t have a play-style that suits Balde since he isn’t a natural winger, and Balde has clearly struggled to cope with that fact and properly adjust. I do hope Ansu comes back and finds his form.

Great video, here’s my ranking but it’s very hard to rank these since some are established players while others are just breaking through, either way we’re blessed with these generational prospects: 10. *Guiu* (I think he’s pretty much guaranteed to become a very solid La liga striker, but I don’t really see him becoming world class) 9. *Fort* (I love what I’m seeing from him so far, already seems comfortable and so composed while playing out of position) 8. *Fati* (Based on the raw potential alone he should be higher, but unfortunately it seems like it’s already being wasted, still I’m not putting him lower since he’s proven that he can play at a high level) 7. *Fermin* (Honestly deserves to be higher up, incredible talent who is already producing at the highest level, also such a unique profile for a La Masía product) 6. *Roque* (Needs more playing time, but I’m still gonna believe the initial hype) 5. *Balde* (Injury prone and have had a bad season, but I’m not giving up on him yet, he was incredible last year and I still think he could become the best left back in the world) 4. *Cubarsi* (I wanted to put him top 3, but it also felt disrespectful to Gavi when we’ve only seen Cubarsi play for a few months, but the kid is generational) 3. *Gavi* (Such a warrior yet also a maestro on the ball, I think losing Gavi for the season might’ve been what has hurt us the most this year) 2. *Pedri* (I initially had him at number 1, because unless injuries ruins him I just don’t see how he can’t become one of the best players of his generation, such a special player) 1. *Yamal* (Arguably our best player of the season at 16, pure insanity)

Our youngsters play too much, I would say the main reason for pedri and fatis injuries, is how much they played. We have 16/17 year olds starting every game, and if they keep starting they’re probably end up really injury prone. Xavi relies on them too much and no one talks about it

For me I prefer gavi to Pedri. Obviously I have a history of bias towards holding/ ball winning midfielders as one might see when I say Rodri is the best player itw but a player like gavi who can play at any role in the midfield at a high level is invaluable and a top top talent.

For me Ansu is the most talented youngster Barca has had since Messi but Yamal is very very close to him. Him & Vini were the same level 3 years ago and both had massive injuries with the difference being an elite coach. Ancelotti understood the importance of Vini for Real, trained him to become one of the best players in the world while Xavi turned his back on the guy that was given the number 10; preferring the likes of Raphinha and Ferran ahead of him; who are no better. I want to see Fati back at Barca next season under an elite manager...
