Many of JYPE dancers lack the groove but some still can excel in open style, I think it's because their famous basic dance. I remember it was changed in Haewon (4th gen) era to be able to put more groove onwards since their 3rd gen dancers are literally sharp clean. Even their choreos contributed to such.

I'm gonna say this as someone who has been dancing to hip-hop for 10 years. I think you under evaluated the itzy girls a lot. First you used a very old video of them to show your examples, second you ignored some key points like ryujin potential for locking and popping, and yeji amazing footwork, isolation and power projection, you reduced them to idol dancers when in fact yeji used to be an street dancer before before being an idol. She also has shown she can dance big she just chooses not to do it on itzy choreos. Anyway I would yeji higher them hanni and kyujin for exemple. Hanni lacks fluidity, kyujin has a lot potential but still lacks body control.

Addressing more points that I think were a little off: - Yunjin doesn’t have natural groove nor good shapes. It’s obvious that she didn’t have good groove in Easy and alignments have always been a major issue for her. - I would put Chaewon above Sakura because Sakura still has torso and hip stiffness, and her groove in Easy was underwhelming.

Eunchae imo was the only one with natural groove, with Chaewon and Kazuha trailing closely behind thanks to their light connected executions which almost resemble groove.

There is so much missed information here. Yeji’s power has always been highlighted by actual pro dance directors as one of her strengths, one of the few idols who is able to be clean, sharp and can deliver accents. Also, she is not your average idol dancer. She was a dancer before joining jype. I wouldn’t mind if you actually pointed her flaws but what you listed goes against what professionals find as her strength.

Jennie locks and pops are nics tho. Footwork is her main issue. Grooves are also pretty much good. With decent isolations. The point you said about chill music is soo right but she has like the energy in some other song too. Chill type of dance : Shut down,Pink venom,Crazy over you. Energetic : dkwtd,how you like that etc. But we will see her improve more def in next comeback of bp
