If United hadn’t been able to develop those players, they would have looked in the transfer market for squad depth too. How many times have you heard supporters use the phrase ‘injuries killed our season’. Squad depth is absolutely vital to any team who wants to reach their season targets unless they get obscenely lucky (no injuries, no suspensions, no drop off in performances). I’m a supporter of a team that will be in a relegation scrap in League One this season and even we are going to need depth in the squad (in fact, due to injuries, suspensions and performance drop offs, we would have been relegated if we didn’t have that last season), so for teams in the richest league in world football? ‘Players that are only going to warm the bench at best’ are absolutely vital for any team, in in some instances, could be even more so than some of the first team players at times

Secondly, Sander Berge is a good player who's been a victim of a dreadful Sheffield United side who have regressed in their return two years later and a Burnley side who came good far too late. Lastly, the worst take of them all. Possibly your worst one on us... Andersen being a downgrade on Tosin? This is a clear lack of Premier League knowledge. Andersen played a huge part in Palace getting a top 10 while Tosin wasn't even our second best centre half last season and there's a reason why he went to Chelsea on a free and struggled there since.
