Good vidéo! Unfortunately, you seem to be forgetting that Cameroon is a unique case in African football. They don't need to play well to win. To say they'll stop at round 16 means you don't know much about their History. Cameroon doesn't need Big players, Big names. Qualifiers and the actual competition are wayyy différent. Just go Back to see their title win in 2017, you'll understand

As a Moroccan we aren't favourites and I would barely put us at contenders, we can only play well against any non African team. In Africa the style of play is really different, excluding the shitty stadiums and quality Africa has... Our players are developing in Europe not in Africa so they're not used to the rhythm there and the harsh physical challenges they can face against other African teams who are used to the style of play there

I'd have loved to be mad at you for where you put my country Ghana 🇬🇭 but you're spot on. Ghana's team play has been in a bit of a decline since the 2019 AFCON simply due to the fact that we've always had a core of players who rose through the ranks of our junior national teams and won medals at the U17 and U20 WCs and AFCONS. These core players would then be augmented by acquiring players of Ghanaian descent who have been discovered in Europe. These days, it's the other way round... about 90% of the team consists of players who have been discovered in Europe or the MLS and we're throwing out a Hail Mary and hoping they could gel and develop telepathy when they've not known each others' plays for long. We barely have a core of players rising through the ranks these days. Oh, and don't get me started on Chris Houghton and his uninspiring defensive play...always choosing to play double pivot even against minnows at home. But AFCON sometimes doesn't have a formula...his defensive style can turn out to be a masterclass if the likes of Kudus, Semenyo and Inaki (if Houghton plays him wide) bail us out consistently. That being said, i think we're in for an interesting tournament and one of Senegal, Cote D'Ivoire, Morocco or Egypt is gonna win it.

You might get this as a bit unrelated But one thing I have noticed with some African teams is a coleration between domestic leagues rules on how many foreignen players there are and the national team. Let's take Egypt and Morocco as examples where teams can't have more than 5 foreign players and no foreign goalkeepers. Morocco speaks for itself, their coach is directly from wydad. Egypt is stranger tho, were the FA is bad but it's saved by the clubs. However Egypt even during Carlos Queiroz who was hated for his style managed to reached the final. Then you have two examples of leagues allowing more foreigners in and the first to come to my mind is South Africa and Tanzania. South Africa has one leading club (sundowns obviously). Who has a huge financial difference and spends crazy money (African standard) on foreign players. So rival clubs try their best, but can't get quality players. SA can't break that barrier between being a dark horse or just a bad side. Tanzania allows a lot of foreign players, and is very much a footballing country (just look at the young africans Vs Simba rivalry). But they just seem to have a bad national team, even though their clubs are doing better and better continental wise. They frequently have great foreign players in the league like Mayele or Miquissone(not anymore) who move to Egypt. But don't really produce their own talent. I haven't looked to much into this, but noticed this recently.(srry for spelling mistakes)

@@MichaelTalksFootball1 I guess and I would like to read more about it because since African football is going to be a huge mess especially with the "AFL". But I think with Senegal it's the FA's philosophy and what their goal is with their talents. Exception don't make the rule

I think the case of morocco is very strange for instance we have had vahid halikozitch as the manager for more than 3 years and yet we lost to egypte in the quarter final and it was a shame now for walid regragui he was picked based on his performance and his personality for now the moroccan federation is just taking the national league as the place were yong talented players gets revealed to form them in the FA centers at a high level and than join the european big 5 leagues and the teams in the nation league are ok with this because already the moroccan league is the most profitable league in the continent
