I tend to agree with *most* of your assessments, except for a couple of feats: - Tavern Brawler is GREAT for monks, not for the improvised weapons (useless), nor for the damage die (as you noted, monks are already better), but for the push feature. Once per turn, a free push, no saving throw, no size limitation. It's great per se and fantastic if you're going for cheese grater tactics. - Savage Attacker is not that good. For example, if you consider a shortsword, we're talking about 0.97 more points of average damage, and if you take the highest damage weapons in game (maul and greatsword) the average gain is only about 1.37 points of damage.

Thank you so much for your message! Yeah thinking about it you are right on both things: - There are a lot of features that push away creatures (Like the weapon masterie Push or Cantrip invocation for Warlocks) and all of them are always awesome, the ability to push enemies to their death it's amazing, it's also true that at least personally I don't tend to encounter players that use to many Cheese grater tactics .My thing was that I though that the Open Hand Monk had that ability already too but no, reading it better, the enemy need to make a saving throw against them. So yeah with that in mind maybe it would go to B tier. -My main gripe with Savage Attacker it's actually how much it can slow combat down if you have it with a couple of players because it already happened to me but yeah it's not something you are going to even use every turn for sure, it's a small simple boost that it's easy to use for beginner melee players, still better than healing rerolls or crafter but maybe bottom of B tier lol.

@@TheWarlockDM Crafter might not be too bad depending on how the DM uses the new rules to let you use tool proficiencies with relevant check and advantage when you also have a skill, upping some skill checks and the discount can be used to buy spell components (even some of the more expensive one that are non-magical). Most spell components just say something like "a diamond worth 100gp" and someone with the crafter feat can buy it for 80gp. True Resurrection says "diamonds worth 25,000+ GP," with the crafter feat 20000gp.

@@williamgordon5443 Thank you for sharing your opinion! I understand what you say but I feel that the tool proficiencies (outside of a few amazing ones) could be too DM dependant and situational, don't get me wrong if a player at my table wants to use the crafter feat I would be stocked because it sounds so much fun but at the same time there are tables where it's not going to have too much use. The discount yes, sounds good but normally I would prefer to have Alert, lucky or Musician over that 20% saving, mainly because the majority of campaigns will never see true resurrection or other 9th level spells, the most useful things to buy are diamons for revivify and Full Plate armor for strength martials which are great savings but there's a point where having extra gold doesn't make the difference in a campaign (If the DM doesn't invest in magical shops).

@@TheWarlockDM I did mention depending on the DM, but I do agree that any feature that requires DM fiat is tricky to rank.
@TheWarlockDMАй бұрын
@@williamgordon5443 Yeah for sure it's a tricky feature and you also make very valid points, still very interesting, I love blacksmiths or crafters player characters in the games I run. Sounds very fun to use and do shenanigans in a long campaign lol.

I think Artisan is a lot more useful than most people. If your character is in any kind of civilized area they can earn money using their skills. They can create non temporary versions of the quick craft items. There are lots of Artisan types. You could be a locksmith and get those tools to get advantage on lockpicking. If you're an alchemist and glassblower you can make your own vial for potions and explosive or acidic liquids. A clothier could add hidden pockets for thieves tools or other smuggling. If you only consider backgrounds from a combat perspective Artisan doesn't fare as well as some of the others on the surface but there's a ton of options to Artisan if you think outside the book.

Thank you for your comment! I´ve receive similar comments, I think that yeah with the right DM you can have a lot of time for crafting cool things, for example spell scrolls for your wizards with the right tools and it can give a lot of utility to non spellcasters that they tend to lack with enough prep time, still I feel that the combat related ones tend to be more naturaly useful, except maybe savage attacker, even with the buff it´s not to muchof a boost in damage

did you forget about the tavern brawler feature where you push people on every hit? Best origin for monks hands down
@TheWarlockDMАй бұрын
Hi thank you for your comment! It´s only once per turn, with every hit it would be very broken lol but yeah another comment also pointed at that part of the feat, what happened it's that I thought that The Open Hand Monk also had that feature and I thought it added more redundancy, but the Open Hand Monk push effect needs a saving throw while this one it's free. Considering that yeah probably just for how useful that could be for monks it could go to B tier. PD: Long live Maiq and the khajiit!

Why has guard int bonus to choice? For my fighter, would i want to use guard, that the chara was in the watch of the villiage (or guard troupe of the region). But the Int and wisdom bonus make it useless, if i want str and con 16
