It's been a while so don't quote me on this, but I remember this one video where they basically tried to redesign a bunch of official FNAF plushies to make them look more high quality, match up with the game's depiction, and still work AS a huggable plushie. Anywho, if I recall correctly, they may have said that making flat edges / boxes is a little difficult, since plushies seem to naturally want to bulge outwards. They could have probably put a plastic / cardboard shape inside the plushies to make their shape more accurate (Such as a plastic box for Boxten) but that wouldn't fit the idea of a soft plushie, you know?
