I don’t dislike DBS Broly, I’m glad he was brought back to be canon and have something different done for him. But I love DBZ Broly, I agree he is a menace, he made Vegeta shake in his boots, his comebacks and trash talking are great, overall he’s a beast.

So a year ago I got into dragon ball and watched the dbs broly movie without knowing about broly beforehand, and loved it. But then I got around to watching the og broly movie and loved it even more, so I think Z Broly is so much cooler. And he has drip??? He is better in every way (in my opinion.) except the backstory, but he is still cooler. He should've won, but he lost to the plot...I think the z broly movie is my favorite dragon ball movie.

Supressed Super saiyan DBZ Broly no doubt, no questions asked. The purple shade, and that blue shade, along with the way his hair kind of elagantly floats up and goes with the rest of his very royal looking fit and lean form looks just so good. Not to mention he has what I believe to be the number one best screencap in the entire dragon ball series with him doing the freiza pose above the water when he fights Goku for the first time... Mwah... Perfect. Over 9000 aura points tbh.

I always assumed Z Broly had a freak out whenever he heard Kakarots name because he subconsciously associated Gokus crying with King Vegeta trying to stab him. Like PTSD.

he only says kakarot because vegeta said it (sub) and goku's crying reminded him of when he was stabbed as a kid, also he is just a true freak...

The crying has nothing to do with his PTSD, he was set off when he first meet Goku which he senses Goku’s power and Broly Was angry(The scene where Broly and Goku have their auras when they face each other) It can be true but it could be better with Baby trunks and have him cry triggers Broly. Also, He only hates Goku Because he knows that Goku is a low class Saiyan and he only goes after him for defeating him at the end of his 1st movie

​​In my head cannon, broly just doesn't want goku to be alive, he wants him dead, so he wouldn't think about him again And what causes broly to transform, is every time he hears kakarot, his minds switches drastically, and he couldn't control it, and on his legendary form, he finally have some control. But it was goku's fault that leaded him to this in the first place. So he wants him dead. And even if other sayain or body snachers , like turles is a low class sayain who looks like goku but reminders him of goku even if his name isn't kakarot. And same for goku black. Bardock etc. He wants to live without seeing goku ever in his life. And wants him out of existence But sadly in the 3 dbz broky movies they didn't do his back story. Justice ​@@RetroraAndCo

Vic Mignogna is actually the voice actor for Super Broly in the movie too. He got replaced by Johnny Yong Bosch later starting I believe in FighterZ. We haven't really heard much from him but he does a good job.

The reason why Super Broly's final form is less cool than Z Broly's, is cause the Super version just has the default Super Saiyan hairstyle. Z Broly's Legendary hair is unique to him.

Z Broly’s motivation isn’t just because of Kakarot’s crying as a kid. Hearing his name or hearing Goten cry is more of a trigger for his PTSD over King Vegeta’s attempted murder. It’s like how a loud boom could trigger PTSD in a veteran. And as for you saying Super Broly not being a mindless monster, that is what he is. Z Broly is a calculated freak that controls what he does as the Legendary Super Saiyan. Super Broly just wants to appease his father until his rage and raw power controls him and he goes berserk.

I do agree that both versions of Broly eventually BECOME mindless - but my main point was that Broly in Super is given much more characterization outside of him being berserk. In Z’s version of Broly, he is almost air headed as a result of being restrained when in his base form. In Super, you’re able to see Broly’s innocence, and sympathize with him

In sparking zero they should have put a bardock death finisher like if you used first form frieza and you did a beam clash the cpu could die like bardock from z or they could die and become ash like in super broly and the saibamen should have gotten one also like if you used the explosion move anyone could hit the yamcha death pose even yamcha himself and with bardock he could say his last words and smile hopefully one day we will get it in dlc

@JohnSmith-hk1fz Broly is a weird one. Vegeta is easy to explain, it's the goofy clothes, especially the purple gloves. With broly, I think it comes down to his proportions. Broly already has some weird proportions. He's got a very small head compared to his ridiculously huge body, especially his pecs and shoulders. When you cover him in fur all over except for his chest and then give him big hair, it just makes his pecs look even more ridiculous and makes his head look even smaller.
