I think that Duncan is the one character that is universally beloved by everyone in the Total Drama fanbase. Some people dislike Heather for the simple fact that she's a villain (despite the fact that she was the show's greatest and most entertaining villain and had some great character development as the show went on), some people dislike Lindsay due to her being too dumb (despite her charming and funny personality), some dislike Gwen due to some of the questionable directions they took her character in World Tour and All-Stars. But Duncan is the one character that all sectors of Total Drama fans can agree is awesome.

I honestly really liked Courtney. And she was literally the only reason that I watched total drama. When Duncan cheated on her I got super pissed off, especially that he had no shame and just started dating gwen after that and it took like two episodes to get Gwen kicked off for stealing Duncan from Courtney. I was just so pissed off at him. He had horrible character development and I honestly would've placed him in D. people say that Courtney treated him badly, but he liked Courtney because of her attitude, same thing with Scott. I just don't like how the couples turned out, the show took a really bad turn and no wonder they ditched the original OG cast they completely fucked them up.

I also really liked Courtie. She was my favorite character after Gwen messed up and Eva had horrible amount of screen time. She looks like me, even. I also got really angry about the spoiler (about how Duncan Donuts cheated). She has got really good strategy. I also believe she was fricked up, and quickly, too! You could tell she derailed at least a LITTLE in S2. I won't even watch S3 for a while because I know Courtie's gonna get messed up. I would have put her higher as well. I literally had the same thought as you! Courtney was like my favorite character when she started dating Duncan. But I got like really upset when Duncan cheated on her for Gwen, I mean like, why would Duncan do that?! What did Courtney even do?! Honestly, I loved her attitude that she always acted serious. But the character developers think it’s a great idea to make my favorite ship sink. I don’t really like Gwen anymore.. S1, she was fine. But now? Meh.. after she broke up with Trent, she started flirting with Duncan, who was already in a *RELATIONSHIP WITH COURTNEY.* Even though she noticed Courtney found out she kissed Duncan, she like literally continued flirting with him. I hope in the new season, everything will go back to normal.

Honestly, I think both Courtney and Trent went off of their character trails. Trent was all "oh Gwen loves weird better be weird" when he never acted that was in the first season. He loved Gwen, but he was also his own person and didn't change just to date her. Courtney may of been into rules, but she enjoyed Duncan's behavior at the end of her run in Island. Hell, she even stole from Chef with him and had fun doing it. Yet in Action she forced Duncan to do all this stuff for her. The whole point was that Courtney liked Duncan for who he was and didn't want to admit that she had problems with her own life style. But nooo, Gwen and Duncan were just a... match made? I saw no connection out of them being friends. But I haven't watched World Tour yet, so maybe they're an extremely cute couple. Who knows.
